Punk song recommendations

The Quick- Pretty Please. Saw these guys at The Starwood in Hollywood in the late 70s. Lead singer Danny Wilde later became a member of Great Buildings and The Rembrandts. This song was later covered by Red Kross and The Dickies.

Anything on this album.

Rancid, Anti-Flag, NOFX, Living End, Less Than Jake all have great bass lines and players.

Jay from Bad Religion is excellent and the lines are simpler and fun.

If you like earlier hardcore like the German, Black Flag and Minor Threat come to mind.

Wait, you have a Wattplower for your avatar but didn't mention Minutemen? Heresy!

I used to be really into the absurd musicianship of Canadian punkers/post-punkers NOMEANSNO.
Their first few albums, Sex Mad, Day Everything Became Nothing, and Small Parts Isolated and Destroyed all have some pretty great basslines. Likewise the drummer is kicking ass all the way through. (what is it about Canada and mercilessly good drummers?)

You don’t run into many people who seek out Germs. Even when Darby was alive they were underground even by punk standards. So I am awarding you 15 cool points of no intrinsic value, enjoy!

Descendents as a whole had fun bass lines. The Clash for the most part had great bass lines. Redd Kross. Black Flag depends on the lineup. Minor Threat. Bad Brains. Boy you’re making me feel old.

Lorna Doom learned bass to be in Germs. Total DIY. She was cool.
Since this is TB and pics or it didn’t happen, Darby and Lorna occupy a space in my heart and on my wall.

Hello, I've been listening to the Stooges and the Germs lately and was looking for recommendations for punk songs to learn?

The Descendants album ‘Milo Goes to college’ is a pretty great album, with a lot of interesting song writing and bass content

most of the Dead Kennedy’s discography is awesome, with solid bass playing
