That's a pretty good lineup...I see Reggie's going to be there, too, and Mike Merritt...killer time, it sounds like!

And Peter, try not to think of me so much...don't want to be responsible for any sort of mental collapse induced by the image ;)

Yeah.. Im sorry...
But i really didn't mean you. per se.. But i do apologize and i hope that you accept ..
I think it is just the posts from years and years that finally get to me explaining that ist not a Preamp...
"Thick headed"? You really needed go there? Wow.....

For the record I am not unhappy in any way with the REDDI in its present form. I actually don't like the Swiss Army Knife approach and instead prefer a piece of gear to do one specific job really well. I understand completely and fully that the REDDI was not designed as a preamp and does not function especially well as a preamp. Further to that I don't WANT it to be a preamp. We clear so far?

I hear you loud and clear. I wasn't having a great day when I snapped at you and hope you'll accept my apology too. Got a lot of respect for you and appreciate your posts.

Sounds like a great time...
Take some pics and post them

But they gotta take 13 different freeways through hellacious traffic to get there if that makes you feel any better....
Yeah ok, me neither.
Actually that DOES make me feel better. I once drove from the Pechanga casino near San Diego to LAX on a Monday morning. The drive there on Friday was slightly over an hour. The drive back took 3 1/2 hours. So when you put it like that, no, I don't feel like I'm missing out at all ;)

My band just released our 3rd CD yesterday....and all but one of the bass tracks were recorded with my '62 AV RI P-Bass with flatwounds and my newly acquired REDDI straight into the console. I did record one track with my Lakland 55-94 Deluxe, but still went direct into the REDDI. The engineer kept commenting how great and full the bass sounded and was very easy to mix.

Everyone was right...this is truly one of the best if not THE best DI for bass out there. Whether its a gig or a recording session, I never leave home without mine!

:-)
