Yeah, and for me it's another brand I need to pickup for my store... I've been chatting them up, and I've officially got some REDDI's coming my way now. :rollno::D

I'm actually really excited. The Alembic F1X has been my go-to bass preamp for a long time, so I'm anxious to compare the DI on it to the REDDI. If the REDDI is significantly better, I'm going to flip out (because I think the F1X is the bee's knees).

I've compared the flat tone of the F1X to the Reddi, and the reddi won hands down IMO...it wins out over most pres for me....until you gotta turn it up lol. I almost wish A-Designs would turn the REDDI into a rack mountable pre so I could use it along with one of JGR's pres for a killer IP310 rig...ahh pipe dreams:help:

I really dig it. There's a distortion switch that brings forth the right amount of overtones to have the bass (or any instrument or vocal) settle in the track without being loud or obtrusive. I would recommend it.

i'm sorry, but i'm going to have to bust this thread for having way more goodness than allowed by law. you are all required to remove 1/2 of the goodness in your rigs to comply with federal regulations.

I love my REDDI to pieces (though I have to admit, I don't use it live--call me lazy and paranoid, I just like the size and indestructibility of my JDI).
Anyhow, one thing y'all should try if you haven't yet is using it to record things OTHER than bass. I have used it on a Wurly and got a totally killer sound. Also recently when tracking an analog synth bass part I thought, "what the heck, might as well try it"--sho nuff it had that extra something special--that "weight" and presence.
