My layman attempt at translation: "blend is your friend".

Not that it's necessary: I occasionally have fun with a full wet signal from the Gasoline. But I usually have Blend dialed back to 2 o'clock, give or take, because I tend to lean on Gain and/or Octane. The nicely-variable mid focus can be magic in the mix.

^ This... I tend to run the blend at 9-10:00. It’s a killer foundation drive.

I have one more available which would make 14 total. The pedal market is pretty saturated, the Gasoline pedals are expensive to make, and a lot of folks don’t follow through which makes things harder on my end. So while I’m really happy with how they turned out, it doesn’t make a lot of sense from a business perspective. I’d rather focus on amps and cabs with the limited time I have to build stuff. At this point, everyone that wanted one either got one or had the opportunity to, so nobody is getting left out which is important. People will inevitably flip some of them which allows other folks in down the road.

I can always build more down the road if there is demand. I know it's hard for folks to wait as I bounce between projects but it is what it is. Right now, the demand has been met!

This is my life right here. So many projects so little time.

Contracting is about 50% of my work so I don't get to build as much of my stuff as I want.

Maybe we can actually meet for reals one day and give each other a hand.

Figure out what interval makes sense for ordering of components and managing your time, then put out the offer that when you have the correct number of interested parties ready to pre-pay for a pedal you could build that batch. Might be a pain to organize.

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. Finding time to build has always been sporadic, and I'm very sensitive to folks getting excessively long waits or ripped off by small builders, so I have never taken deposits on anything. It eliminates some of the pressure on my end, and I'm typically pretty good at hitting delivery dates once I commit, but it certainly makes it more challenging from a cash flow perspective. I also spend an insane amount on parts for R&D projects, many of which never come to fruition.

I'd like to settle down on a set product line, but my wheels are always turning, and I have to feed the creative beast in order to not get bogged down with the monotony of production line fabrication. Right now, cabs, the tube amp, and VHF updates are calling my name very loudly.

As long as I don't lose money, it's good. I enjoy doing what I am doing and all the great friends I have made and continue to make through along the way!

All of them are different enough to keep on my board but the Gasoline is the most different from all the others. It has this transparency and bite that none of the others have, especially the MBD-1 and Annex which are fairly dark. It has a great range of useful tones and I find myself really liking it as a light to medium OD but it can get pretty hairy and nasty if you want it to. It's awesome so far, I dig it. It more than holds its own agains all my other pedals which are beasts in their own rite. I can't wait to get a bit more time with it.
