We've turned down Dolphin Rape and Bus Mutants.

Can't remember where those ideas came from (hint: somewhere inside my rotten cranium) but I still reserve the right to use Dolphin Rape on a future project.

Dolphin Rape is nothing to joke about OK..

I misred Dolphin Rape as Dolphin Rage which I like better. 95% of my creativity is really just skewed flash-perceptions that I happen to catch.

The cool thing about rejected band names is that you can use them for your album names.

I was in a Short Lived Band named Velvet Sex Machine. The lead Singer is a teacher and after realizing the awkwardness of telling his students parents the name of his band we decided a change was in order

We turned down Auxilary Warpath just because it sounded like a metal name and the drummer and I just weren't into it. I few others that didn't work out, BandCig (We used to share a cigarette and call it a "band cig," which sounded kinda like "Danzig."

Not a rejected name but we did not go anywhere Infernal Machine, Squeaky Spleen, Sinister Spleen, Franky Hardcore, Frankly My Dear(This has been taken by like 5-6 diff bands) Also Coma, and Well Played Ruse.

Oh Yeah, just remembered I tried to name a band Pubik Hare in college but that went nowhere. I was 20, wattya want?

I was in a band struggle tom find a name and i suggested

1. Banana bread poptart
2. The pickled peppers
3. Sea of wasabi

None of them stuck at all. I can see why....

I was in a band that the guitarist wanted to use the name "The Sex Towels". We rejected it. He kept coming up with sex related names so I eventually suggested "Viagara Falls" as a joke. He loved it but we ended up calling the band "Double Take".

"Viagra Falls" is solid and should definitely be used by someone.

I play with some folks and we talked about calling ourselves The Reuben Kincaids.

That would be a great name...
Or some variation of it.

And there was (is?) a band called the Mr T Experience that did a song called Danny Partridge--you could have done a cover of that...
