I guess they are targeting late teens that like to think they are headbangers, not the demographics I would have gone for.
A bit of a waste to show that demonstration in my opinion, those amps can do so much more then doom and sludge.
Beautiful clean tones to slight breakup to full on madness in one machine, and being able to play each channel or both combined adds to the versatility. Separate send returns on both channels and another one that has both channels running through it into the power amp can really help you set them up.
Its hard to find a Sunn Beta played clean but there are some on YouTube.

I had the rack-mounted version of the Beta bass pre and power amp only the pre looked like the Beta Lead rack mount today w/o reverb and at the that time the line was called SPL including PA gear. From there it morphed into the Beta line with standard heads, cabinets and combos instead of rack gear.

I liked it for the clean high powered (at the time) power amps for bass and the two-channel preamps. You could set up two different sounds or use both to drive the amp. I did a semi bi amped thing by using the two channels to run two different cabinets with two different tone profiles before I got my first electronic crossover to do it for reals.

It was fun to go to the factory and get to see what John Entwistle was using at the time.

Nope and I stopped looking when the delivery guys are on the block. Actually looking at a GK Fusion head now, in the event this never arrives. I dont understand why they are being secretive. Maybe they bit off more than they can chew? I mean, I ordered in October expecting to be using the Beta Bass for our outdoor summer gigs.

Why do you keep expecting "customer support" when the company and its product is still basically vapourware?
If you want something that's concrete, now, there's plenty of options out there. Otherwise, if you want to ride this "hype train" do that, but be prepared to be let down.

Did they ever secure funding to even start production on any scale?

Did you ever play with though one when they were in production back n da day?

I don’t expect the new ones to be any different.

I had both, the SPL line that was a precursor and an actual Beta Bass combo. They were good n da day but I wasn’t using it for Doom/Stoner music. I was doing Prog Rock with mine.

The lack of communication is ridiculous. Nobody should have to ask where there amp is via social media.

Well at least two of the four have extensive manufacturing experience. Don't know who the other two guys are.

Nada! But I did get a great deal on an Aguilar AG700 to cover myself. When/If the Beta Bass arrives I will still want/use it, but tired of the runaround with outdoor events starting in 2 weeks. I tried reaching out to Sunn again on Sunday, via a previous email response from then as well as FB. Got nuttin as of right now. Not feeling confident about these wing nuts.
