Well considering he's a Self professed conspiracy theorist who doesn't believe ISIS actually exists, doesn't believe in the moon landing, and believes all the ISIS beheading videos are fake it's not too much of a stretch

Listen I love his playing, his playing is a huge influence for me, but he is a space cadet for reals.
Love his playing & tone. IMO as a Jazz guy myself it sucks to see he ditched his Jazz basses. Don't forget about the argument he got in with Buzz Aldrin.

I think it's great that he took the time to go over his rig. I wish more famous bassists did that.
Wow, what a lot of tangents in here. I'll add my thoughts.
I saw Prophets of Rage this past Friday, and the show was great. I agree that it would have been better if it was a RATM show. I was a fan of Public Enemy before RATM existed. I think ChuckD has the best rap voice of all time. It's clear that RATM was heavily influenced by PE, so there's nothing wrong with this mashup. They played a lot of great music, delivered some political messages, and made sure everybody had fun. If these guys want to write music together, then I look forward to hearing it.
For those of you who don't think the other 3 members of RATM should be allowed to tour without Zack, I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm sure if Zack wanted to be there, he'd be welcomed with open arms. I don't think he wants to be there. So, who are we to say to the other 3 that they cannot tour without him? Who are we to say that they can't earn a living off of the music that they wrote because 25% of them don't want to participate. If you don't like it, then don't buy it and don't go see it - but don't tell someone that they can't earn a living because it isn't how you want it to be.

Totally with you wintremute. I also grew up listening to PE, then much later found RATM and also Cypress Hill. Loved the 3 first albums by Cypress, then it went down hill. I think it's cool what they do now with Prophets, but yea, not as good as with Zach.
Hey, PE toured over here some year ago and they where kicking it.
Still, not even close to how good they where back "in the day".
But i guess that's just the way it is by growing older, both entertainer and yourself..

Well they do have at least one song they wrote together.. "Prophets of Rage". I dig it. I seen their show as well September 1st. Not a bad time was had. Rage is what brought me from Rap music into the rock world. On topic though, I remember from way back, that TC made his own distortion pedal and has held its internals as a secret. A lot of what he plays is following Tom Morello's lines, so I often wonder... Did TC write the riff and Tom matches him, or vice versa. I know for sure "Sleep Now in the Fire" was a riff written by Tom Morello, but not a clue on the rest.

I'll go to bat for Timmy C - what is bizarre about the moon landing being faked? Have you ever actually studied the footage? There's people of a certain vintage that think they 'saw' the moon landing because they heard the broadcast over the radio. Once you take a close look at it, it seems bizarre to believe it actually happened.
Oh please! That's tinfoil hat nonsense. How do you fake a rocket launch? I lived in Florida at the time, and I not only saw the rockets from my house, but I've seen a couple moon launches up close (or as close as they'll let you get). A ridiculous claim on its face.
At least he's not one of those "concave/cell earth" jobs (they're also against the moon landing because by their logic, the moon isn't big enough to land on)

And to take it one step further, if Mr. C has any doubt about the reality of ISIS, there are plenty of other videos that don't fade to black as literally hundreds of people are being executed, one after the other and thrown in a river or a shallow grave. I suppose those were staged too. I suppose hundreds of thousands of refugees just chose to be refugees and drag their kids a billion miles across a continent only to be crapped on everywhere they went. Sound familiar?
Also, there was a time when Buzz would have chin checked Timmy if he came spouting that nonsense...
Haha Jimmy I never said they faked the launch. Of course you can launch a rocket. In this day and age you can attach a camera to it and track the entire flight.
No tinfoil here - I'm not scared or angry about it, more bemused than anything.
