I don't know, but Bill Lainbeer was the KING! The look on his face when he got called for fouls... ROFLMAO!!!!

He sure looked like he thought he was innocent...

Randy
Laimbeer & Mahorn, I still have the issue of Rolling Stone with that interview of the "Bad Boys". Whatta hoot!

I think Joe Dumars, Laimbeer, and Rick Mahorn went into the Pistons locker room after game 2 and told those guys a thing or two...

No ..... you misunderstand. SA are a class act ballclub...never said they were not. It's just the media and the announcers. When anyone plays the Pistons, all the want to do is show Shaq commercials, or Al Michaels sounds like he has a man crush on the whole SA team. Pistons get no love from the media or sometimes certain refs.....FACT. Technicals has nothing to do with crying, it's when the refs blow a call the players get upset! I heard a stat that when the Pistons play and one certain ref is working the record is 1-7, when that guy is not reffing they are 11-1 in the playoffs....Hmmmm. Just pay attention if you watch the game, listen to the commentators, watch the commercials.

Technicals has nothing to do with crying???
After 10+ years of following basket, it's the first time I hear that!!
Sorry, but I don't agree with you! rewatch game 1,2,3,4....And you'll see that Pistons are constantly asking for calls.....

He didn't mean crying as in whining about calls, he meant that it looked like Tim Duncan was literally going to cry while he sat with Pop.

For what it's worth, I've never seen a team that didn't whine about calls. Between these two ball clubs, the Pistons are more animated about it, but you'll notice that SA has conversations with the refs after certain calls. I'm sure they're not exchanging recipes.

Mike

You can't really blame the Pistons for whining. They constantly get some of the worst calls against them.

Rasheed said it best when he put the league down by saying "There is going to be a game 7, are you kidding me? That's what they want, there is no other way".

Then he got fined 20,000$, then said "best 20,000$ I ever spent".

Truth is the league doesn't want the Pistons in the finals because they don't have a superstar. They wanted Miami.

Rasheed Wallace is a damn good basketball player, but he's also an idiot. This conspiracy talk is getting pretty old - the higher-ups might envision that certain matchups will yield better ratings, but to honestly believe that referees have this in mind when they call games is laughable. The Pistons get some questionable calls because they are an aggressive defensive team and create a lot of clean contact, resulting in calls on plays where there is contact but no foul. If there really were some kind of grand conspiracy against your team, do you think they would have made it to the Finals this year? Last year?

If the Pistons win this series, I hope never to hear another word of conspiracy talk from Motown fans. A real conspiracy would prevent a single championship, let alone two. The better team will win, whoever that turns out to be. Deal with it.

I don't really think there is a conspiracy, but Rasheed did have a point.

I guarentee the "higher-ups" were not to happy when Detroit beat Miami. After hearing about Dwayne Wade and Shaq 24/7 throughout that series, I bet it was a letdown.

Hell even after Detroit beat Miami after game 7, ESPN did a whole section on DWAYNE WADE even though they lost. It was rather disgusting.

Thanks for playing Detriot. The Spurs will celebrate another championship on their homecourt next week. Robert Horry will now have ring number six. Is he unbelievable or what??

-Mike

I have been concerned that the Spurs would win since game one...( I did predict the Pistons in 5 at the beginning of the season, but that was put to rest after game one)

But: After 1 solid victory and 1 COMPLETE blowout in Detroit, you proclaimed that nothing special had happened. Tonight, the Spurs squeek by in OT, and you declare victory? I think the series is pretty evenly matched. An OT road victory is as likely by either team. A little premature, no? In the end, rabid fans will scream that the final result (whatever it is) was inevitable.

First off, I am not a fan of either team. My loyalty rests with the Houston Rockets. I do enjoy watching good basketball, which is what we have here in the Finals.

Nothing special happened in game three or four in Detroit, nothing special happened in games one or two either. Good basketball teams win at home, and they usually do it pretty convincingly. Detroit is a good team, with a good coach. Each team did what they are expected to do.....defend the homecourt. Tonight the Spurs hung around and proved that they are just that much better, not much, but enough to win.

The series is over, the Spurs will win. You know it, I know it. Can Detroit win in SA? Sure they can, but they won't. They definitely won't win twice. The Spurs are too good.

-Mike

Yes, what a win!!
Tim Duncan made the game everybody was waiting from him!!
And Robert Horry made one more time the Game is doing when it's Mega Money Time!!

That game is good for basketball!

To continue what some said in past posts, I'm a Spurs Fan, but I respect Pistons!
All the people who watch basketball not only in a flashy way will tell you that.
That's how it works here....

I knew I should have stayed up to watch that game. Way to go Spurs, but if you ask me, they're not out of the woods yet. Detroit definitely has the talent and the mental fortitude to win these next two in SA... they just never seem to roll over and die. I think these next one or two games will be thrillers, even if the scores don't get out of the 70's.
