San Antonio Spurs!!!

My original Spurs in 6 prediction still stands.

Much better effort from the Pistons, and a fairly poor showing from the Spurs. Hamilton and Big Ben both looked great, whereas I wasn't impressed by anyone on the Spurs squad. Anyone else just hoping for close games the rest of the way for the sake of entertainment value? Last night's game was fairly tight through 3, but it was missing the drama of a game coming down to its final moments.

I don't know. Manu gets hurt early, Pistons are playing REALLY well defensively, and the game is tied until in the third quarter when the Pistons play OUT OF THEIR HEADS good, and take the lead for good. To me, the Spurs are a superior team, and I can't be convinced that the Pistons could play insanely good for enough time to win one more game.

In all fairness, playing "out of their heads good" late in the game is what got the Pistons where they are.

Well barring a 22 point comeback with 2 minutes to go this series is tied! Part of me wants to say it's over for the Spurs, that they have awaken the sleeping giant, but part of me says the Spurs are still a very good team. My gut feeling, game five will decide this series, Whoever wins will probobly win the series. But yes the Pistons do have answers for Ginobli, it's called team defense! And Ben Wallace has certanly showed he is the most dominant defensive player in the game. One other note the Pistons had 4 TURNOVERS tonight for the game! An NBA finals record!

DEEETROIIT PISSSTONS!!!!

It's my home team man!!! Wooohooo! I'm just sick of my Pistons getting no love from nobody. This is a great team. Every announcer or commercial and commentator is busy stroking eithier the Heat's, Lakers, or San Antonios Ego's ( I wanted to say something else) I'm just glad my home boys are fighting back kicking butt and taking names!!!! So we are not fancy and we play blue collar basketball...screw the media and the announcers. Give the Bad Boys some credit, they seem the have San Antonio figured out. This team could have easily folded after getting slammed two games in a row in SA. Did anyone see T Duncan almost crying last night?

No ..... you misunderstand. SA are a class act ballclub...never said they were not. It's just the media and the announcers. When anyone plays the Pistons, all the want to do is show Shaq commercials, or Al Michaels sounds like he has a man crush on the whole SA team. Pistons get no love from the media or sometimes certain refs.....FACT. Technicals has nothing to do with crying, it's when the refs blow a call the players get upset! I heard a stat that when the Pistons play and one certain ref is working the record is 1-7, when that guy is not reffing they are 11-1 in the playoffs....Hmmmm. Just pay attention if you watch the game, listen to the commentators, watch the commercials.

He used to be, but Phil Jackson's back with the Lakers, all were gonna here next year is how Kobe doesn't get enough love from the officials.

One other quick comment about the officials. It is a common fact that star's get the calls, witness Shaquel's offensive foul's, and Kobe's traveling. One of my concerns watching the Piston's is because they are not a team with a true superstar I do think it hurts them with the Refs. And that last point about the officials was true, the Pistons in the last two years have a 1-7 record when Garitson's crew is officiating, and an 11-1 record with all other officials in the playoffs.

I do believe game two was the worst officiated playoff game I've seen since the Pistons played the Celtics in 88. I still believe the Spur's would have won, but how do you out rebound a team, get more points in the paint, get more offensive rebounds and go to the foul line half as many times? The Spurs outscored the Pistons at the foul line in that game by more points then the Pistons had foul shots and the rest of the stats were fairly even, no excuse.

And Ben Wallace still is not treated like the superstar he is on defense, even last night, Ginobli went to the line on another blocking foul that was a ridiculous out of control charge. In fact the Spurs have been to the line more then the pistons in 3 out of the 4 games but the margins were much closer (3-4 free throws difference) in game two the Spurs went to the line 34 times, the Pistons 17, absolutely ridiculous. Now I'm whining like Larry!
