SBMM Stingray Short scale

oooo I’m gonna need to try these!!

string joy is sending me a .50 for the set that I bought from them to make it feel closer to what I was hoping for. Now for my other bass tho they weren’t currently able to do a short scale string in bigger than .110 but that they’ve been starting to get enough requests for them they’re looking to start apparently. So I’ll let you know if they ever do!

OK. Here's the inverse. There's a good chance that RodRy's will be favored by most, but I really like mine with the maple fretboard.

They both look great! I hate to think it, less I end up costing myself a lot of money, but I wouldn't mind picking up a white one to do that same neck swap myself!

Have either yourself or @RodRy heard a notable change in tone after the neck swaps, perhaps from the different fretboard wood?

I really have not noticed a tone difference. But now that I think of it, I've only played it unplugged since I got the truss rod adjusted. I have a new task for the night!
:smug:

I said it in the other thread, but that really looks good. It should have come that way for sure.
Thank you, I like it too. And I really do like how yours came out.
Now it will be interesting to see how many more are created after these pics got out!
:D

Edit: And I'm really wondering about the expensive ones! Who's going to do some neck swaps there?

Yep, I agree! I think they both actually look better in the new configuration. I've got the standard issue White, but have to admit your maple looks pretty sweet especially with the contrast of a dark pick guard.

Wow, both look fantastic! The white with maple neck is what I would really like personally. I wish I could swap necks with someone in Thailand but still very happy with this bass overall. I rarely use anything else now. :)

Man that is cool but, I'm wondering if you would be so kind as to lay the white pickguard back over the tort and take a quick picture. After reading about you all swapping necks, I was really looking forward to seeing the all white vibe. Pretty please?

Quick questions to the experts!
I bought a B stock Sterling short scale from Musician Friend and its probably going back, since one tuner machine is broken and has a big crack in the finish on the back (the packaging was terrible)
I could no try it properly since I could not tune it properly, but even if it sounded good, it was very noisy, specially on center position of the selector.
I'm talking about a single coil like nasty buzz.
Is this normal? Or maybe that is why is a B stock?
I would like to hear some opinions.
I'm now not sure If I should get another.
I play in cover bands, and bars sometimes don't have the cleanest power...
Thanks

Nope not supposed to be noisy at all, mine's dead quiet when not played
