OK. Here's the inverse. There's a good chance that RodRy's will be favored by most, but I really like mine with the maple fretboard.

I said it in the other thread, but that really looks good. It should have come that way for sure.Neck swap. Dig it.

Now, to me, that looks proper.

I love it! The tort pickguard offsets it nicely, and the maple fretboard harmonizes the look of the olympic white body.OK. Here's the inverse. There's a good chance that RodRy's will be favored by most, but I really like mine with the maple fretboard.

I really have not noticed a tone difference. But now that I think of it, I've only played it unplugged since I got the truss rod adjusted. I have a new task for the night! They both look great! I hate to think it, less I end up costing myself a lot of money, but I wouldn't mind picking up a white one to do that same neck swap myself!
Have either yourself or @RodRy heard a notable change in tone after the neck swaps, perhaps from the different fretboard wood?

Thank you, I like it too. And I really do like how yours came out.I said it in the other thread, but that really looks good. It should have come that way for sure.

Man that is cool but, I'm wondering if you would be so kind as to lay the white pickguard back over the tort and take a quick picture. After reading about you all swapping necks, I was really looking forward to seeing the all white vibe. Pretty please?OK. Here's the inverse. Nope not supposed to be noisy at all, mine's dead quiet when not playedQuick questions to the experts!
I bought a B stock Sterling short scale from Musician Friend and its probably going back, since one tuner machine is broken and has a big crack in the finish on the back (the packaging was terrible)
I could no try it properly since I could not tune it properly, but even if it sounded good, it was very noisy, specially on center position of the selector.
I'm talking about a single coil like nasty buzz.
Is this normal? Or maybe that is why is a B stock?
I would like to hear some opinions.
I'm now not sure If I should get another.
I play in cover bands, and bars sometimes don't have the cleanest power...
Thanks
I think they all do that. Mine does. Playing it right now. Sounds like a hive of Murder Hornets.... but even if it sounded good, it was very noisy, specially on center position of the selector.
