SBMM Stingray Short scale

Beautiful duo. Do you know if you can get Precision tones out of that Mustang? I’m looking for a Precision short scale but don’t like the Squier Mini P.
I would suggest the MIM PJ mustangs. They are around $600 out the door and will give you a few different tones, including Precision.

...or you can install a p pickup on the stingray like I might do.

Oh damn, that's sweet. Don't regret buying the white, but the red would make me think. Not a fan of the Daphne/baby blue, however that does seem to be the more popular option.
Respectful differences of opinion are indeed fine things! I would have been drawn to the white if it had a maple neck. Or a black ebony one.

But blue has been one of my favorite colors since childhood.

Thank you for the suggestion. I had one but I didn’t really bond with it. Also I was looking for a bass with a belly cut and without the J pup.

I never played one and I like everything except the headstock. Maybe it would grow on me.
It has some nice features for its price range - contoured neck pocket, light weight tuners, hi mass bridge, option of a string through body. I kind of like the headstock.

The thing that is a negative for me is how slim the neck is. If they're too slim it bothers my thumb. It seems like I'm always trying to pop the knuckle on my thumb if I play a too slim neck.
