I didn't have any issues with the BQS control. Its pretty easy to maneuver but your right, the variable mid control is probably easier to fit space wise. The one thing you'll lose is the high frequency dip switches though. I'd check that out before choosing to make the switch.

I don't recall any switches anywhere inside on my B64 with my Stiletto Studio....

NBD!

I bought an SLS Evil Twin guitar about 6 months ago (even though I don’t really play guitar). I was so impressed with it that I wanted the bass version. I finally got one this week. Now the question becomes, do I need the 5-string, too?

As I was familiarizing myself with the controls on my new SLS Evil Twin 4, I found that the knob closest to the neck, the treble I believe, doesn't appear to do anything. The bass and volume knobs clearly work, so the preamp is getting power. I opened the cavity, and the pot in question appears to be wired well; the connections on the pot itself aren't loose. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Sweetwater told me my 4-string Evil Twin was 9.1X lb, and there was another at about 9.6 lb at the time. I haven't weighed mine yet, but my own measurement are usually very close to what Sweetwater reports. I'll try to remember to update when I do.

Edit: I think I meant to type 8.1 and 8.6 lb, but now I'm doubting myself. I need to measure with my Park bicycle scale.

Thanks. Actually decided on an SLS Elite 4. Only played a couple of times and included Schecter case. Black fade.

Like em or not, Korn played a great gig a few nights ago. They started with about 40 minutes of hits using acoustics and backed by chior and organ. Then they debuted their new album. Fieldy is taking a break and they've had Ra Diaz filling in (and killing it) I'm looking at the rigs and had to chuckle at Head and Munkey with their dual Mesa Half Stacks each and there is Ra with a Schecter Corsair and some kind of small vintage combo... and of course I'm sure he's DI to FOH. But still pretty cool.

One of the biggest acts in the world being handled by a $900-1000 mass produced bass and a combo amp. He busts out a stilletto studio for the album debut.
