Sweetwater was on top of it, so Schecter has a new tuner on it's way. Very impressed with the expediency!
Thank you. Can finally get serious tonight. I don't trust that plastic-y stuff. These current tuners just wouldn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling during a gig LOL. Would rather have metal take the stresses from tuning.

Glad to hear it worked out. Sweetwater has given me great service when I needed it, and I also recall emailing Schecter once or twice and they were responsive too.
I dropped my J-4 off one last time today to finish up the mods that were supposed to happen in late 2020 but fell through on my end. One last cosmetic addition and another functional change to the bass.
The addition of stacked knobs while keeping the 3rd knob usable is probably the biggest functional change I'm going to do to this bass. It was explained to me the best way to go about this setup but it's clear I made the right choice having someone else do it because my inexperience made it all sound like gibberish. I'm not too worried as it is being handled by someone that has worked on almost every instrument I've owned with great results.

Got my J-4 back today. Too tired to give it a test drive but not tired enough to snap a photo.
I was unsure about the idea of having 2 pickup covers but I really dig them seeing it in person. Enough room to rest my hand at the usual spot below the neck. There was a miscommunication at some point which led to the control plate only having the stacked knob in the middle instead of 2 sets like on vintage fenders and the push/pull knob for coil splitting. I was offered to have this rectified free of charge but I decided to try this out for now but keep that offer in mind just in case. The whole point behind modding this J-4 was to make it different/unique and a single concentric knob would fit the bill.

I'm a Lull endorser but funny...I have just as many Schecters as Lulls and Ebony rules.Thank you! It's got a semi hollow mahogany body with an ebony fingerboard. It sounds very unique!
Do you have any of their USA instruments? Their custom shop is such an amazing secret in the industry

One Jazz - my utilitarian bass specifically.
It’s only alder / rosewood but I had them put in ivory EMGs with a 18volt BTS.
I also have (2) Omens, a Raiden fretless and Evil Twin.
All 5 strings and modified in the electronics…Even the Evil Twin as a boost circuit to match the other basses.
Schecter is the biggest secret right under the nose of the bass player community.

That used honey brown Stiletto Studio came in from GC, and so I changed out all of the "meh" gold hardware, especially that lame stock bridge. It now plays beautifully like my other one.
Very nice choice of hardware, way better than the gold. These are both killer examples. Are the EMGs on the blue one an upgrade? Neck-thru Stilettos play and sound way above their price point, new or used.

No on the EMGs. They don't include the "HZ" on the pickups anymore (pretty sure). I don't mind them anyway...just turn the gain/volume up and they kill, sounding like actives.
