Not sure how I missed the club, but here's my Schecter Hellraiser Extreme-4. Really dig it, nice electronics, especially the option to switch between humbuckers and single coils. Feels really nice and plays well. Love it more each time i play it

Probably too many associate Schecter/ESP with a metal image.
It's kind of a shame Schecter has garnered this image. My Custom 4 (in my profile pic) is my favorite bass I've ever had. For the $ they can't be beat IMO. The only thing I might change in the future is the electronics.

Same, thinking of putting an active/passive pre in, as I never use the eq, unless in an emergency. So, no sense in draining two 9volts for nothing.

I actually do use onboard EQ. I'm thinking of leaving the EMG HZ's and using a 3 band Tone Monster pre. I don't see any reason to change out the pickups. They're just standard humbuckers.

People complain about the HZs...don't know why. They're indeed just passive EMGs. EMG people are probably used to full-on active, like the DCs.
I think people assume they are entry line pickups because in the past they tended to be OEM in lower tier instruments and they weren't coupled with any active circuit in those basses. In another thread a guy said they are garbage which leads me to believe he hasn't actually played a bass with them and is just going by things he's read. For the record I'm not a huge fan of the "active" EMG pickups TBH.

I'm about to join the Schecter Owners Club. Found a used Schecter C5 Apocalypse and should have it next week. Ever since I watched videos and read reviews on this bass I've wanted one. I love ebony necks and passive electronics, so I'm quite "stoked" about this. I'll post pics when received.

Yeah I got this one in 5er and the 4er I just got in the red will be here this weekend. Love these hellraiser extreme basses. Only change I make is gut them and put the Fishman fluence bass soapbars and preamp.

Here’s my newly acquired C5 Apocalypse. Received from Guitar Center Dallas in excellent condition.
Plugged it in just a few minutes ago to check it out and love it.
It’s one of the originals and I believe it was made in 2017. I don’t recall what they named this finish but it’s a very dark grey (almost black).
Please send me a membership number.
