Schecter Owners Club, part 3

This came today and I’m formally working with Schecter.

Thought I would share…

I took my Schecter CV5 to a rehearsal the other day. A friend of mine saw it and asked "A Schecter? Are you playing metal now?". My gigs are mostly pop, rock and gospel. And this Schecter is becoming my number 1. The neck just feels incredibly good.

Nice
I’m playing my Schecter’s in theater, singer/songwriter and straight up fusiony funk stuff.
The mold and stigma I believe is starting to break.

I prefer the dual coil, but I’m not opposed to the single but the it needs a little be of low end rolled in when you do (at least for me). I’m a big fan of ceramic and steel in the pickups.

If you ever want to SLAM your Stiletto's action down, I recommend a Schaller 3D bridge. You need to slide the saddle rollers to the left, as the alignment's different, and you can still use the existing screw holes. I have wickedly low action compared to stock (which isn't low at all, imo).

My Studios keep amazing me with how consistent they are, gig after gig. What I hear in my in-ears, is what FOH sounds like. Our sound crew loves how articulate they are (gotta love EMG).

I was thinking about getting rid of them, after buying a Kiesel (which is indeed very nice), until I pulled them out of their bags. Nope, workhorses they will stay...damn good basses for the money.
