Love the color. Please don't tease us, lol.Love the color.
Did it get a thin Jazz neck, what is the weight, are those MonsterTone 78's and can we see more pictures ???
I actually opted for a P bass neck on this one. For 4 string, I need a bit more neck so my hand doesn't cramp. They are indeed the 78 Monster Tone Pickups, I've yet to hear a better passive PJ set!
The builder took these pics last night after he completed the bass, so I don't have any more pictures. I'm anxious to find out how much it weighs as well, it has a mahogany body.

Hey Schecter gang! I guess I've been a member for a year & a half now, as I'm the very proud owner of a Riot Session 5...LOVE it. Plays like butter...mm, mm, mmmmmm, love the looks, ash/maple/maple...
HATE the EMG's...both P/U's & pre. I have met a few EMG P/U's I liked, but they were all in guitars, I've never met an EMG pre I liked. No offense to anyone, just not my particular cup o' tea. I find the voicing of the treble control makes it almost unusable; I run it about 2/3 of the way between flat & rolled off.
I've been contemplating a John East Uni-Pre because of the trimmable pots, or the Darkglass Tone Capsule because there is no dedicated treble control. Anyone have either of these in a Riot?
I'm also pretty much convinced I want Nordstrand Big Blade's in the "warm-n-woolly" flavor. Again, anyone have experience in a Riot?
What I want to avoid is killing the inherent qualities of ash/maple/maple. I love this combination, but the brightness the Riot has now (thanks to the EMG setup) isn't to my liking. I'd like the highs to be sweet & present, not icepick-to-the-ear. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!
K J

Is it a Custom Shop Stargazer ? Can you give us some info on it, please.
Thanks
SureIt's a stock 2007 Schecter 004.
This bass plays like a guitar, super comfortable to play and even though it's a full 34" scale, it feels and plays like a 30" short scale. As a wise man once said...
- Ash body
- Maple bound & blocked neck
- Cream body & neck binding
- Brass nut
- Pickups are EMG soapbars
- Controls:
- Master Volume (doubles as a push/ pull switch for selecting passive or active mode for the 2 band pre-amp)
- Pickup Blend
- Treble
- Bass
