I saw the suggested retail pricing on the Schroe website...

are you guys buying direct from him or do you have to go through someone who distributes?

if you go thorugh a store that stocks schroeders, do you pay the retail price listed, or is there the typical discount?

basically, where can i buy a schro 1210, and whats it realistically going to cost me (shipped) to NYC area.

The Schroeders are pretty much the same price if you get them from a store or from Jorg himself....worth every penny :) Brian at LowEnd is great to work with.

the ones with the middle position tweeter are "pre production" the ones that most everyone has with the tweeter on top are how they come.

My 1210 is a middle and my 1212 a top.... I don't really think it alters the tone much

Well, almost. I really want a 1212 to try for a while.

I think I'm pretty well amp gasless too with the TFB420...until I can upgrade to a TFB550;)

Very large main ballroom of a party center with around 350 people for a corporate "roaring 20's" party. Extremely hot chicks and all dressed right outta the Charleston era. Got fed 12 oz. T bone steak and huge sauteed scampies, Pino Grigio wine and desert all you can eat. It was a total sophisticated pig out!!

Back to the 410...the room has a little bit of echo. I agreed to DI the bass without eq to the board but played at a fairly agressive volume, with minimal bass boost over flat, 250 mids on my bass boosted full, and treble at about 2/3 boosted. It sounded really really nice on stage an substantially filled the middle section of the room with the very large dancefloor and the PA threw me lightly into the other sections.

I was easily heard on stage and throughout the above area, nice and punchy (hit you in the side of the head when thumbed). It was very nice. Got a nice complement from the band in general + a couple of specifics from the guitar player (not your usual snobby type :bassist: and the sax player said I was really "loud" on the infamous Hang on Sloopy....can't believe we play it, but in Ohio, it's the Ohio state themesong still...lotsa people at the party were Alumni so they liked it...I played it hitting the bass with my thumb rather than fingering it, for the most part...it projected sideways pretty darn effectively.

The soundman and I got along just fine. I got there a little earlier than we had to be and spoke to him about my concerns. He explained what he was doing and why, he doesn't make the bass and bassdrum sound ghetto blaster like, and he's not "unreasonable", but he did not want to mic the cabinet, so until I have a wireless I can use to go out into the room and hear what he hears, we'll go along with his expertise.

Have fun. I have no bass, amp, or cabinet GAS at all. I feel extremely empty without more equipment to want to go after. Strange isn't it?

Weight of the 310212 and Frequency response. Thanks! I already own one of the cabs, but I'm still interested and maybe some others are as well!
