For those of you who own the Mini 12/Mini 12+

What's the largest venue you used it in? Did you have PA support? Were you happy with the turnout??
I have a Mini-12. Played using just it in a 250 person venue. I also use it and a 1212 and played several festivals with more than 5000 people with it.

My band has been doing an Solo 2 song break at our gigs. Each of the string players have taken turns doing 2 or 3 songs solo for a sudo break. It was my turn and I drug out my acoustic for the show. I actually plugged it straight into my Bass Rig. It sounded great. My guitar is strung with super heavy strings it is easier for me to play. With the fat strings through my SWR Bass 750 and my Schroeder Mini-12 and 1212, it sounded GREAT!! Another Kudo's for the cabinets....

By the way, did I mention I need a Mini 12+ Kick/Tilt back???

Jorg is striving to leave his tone and efficiency/loudness as close to exactly the same with the Neo's as with the heavier speakers. Jorg's lights are not going to sound different than his originals. Jorg's lights will be significantly....lighter!!! than the originals. What's changing is the power handling (50 to 500 watts less per cabinet depending on the number of speakers), and a price projected a little higher per cabinet , It's still a bargain if you like its tone which most of us seem to. Also, Jorg's originals will be continued as they offer a higher wattage capability and lower price for those prefer it.

Please remember, the current crop of speaker cabs from Schroeder when comparing weight to volume are still a bargain and are generally lighter than most of the non-UL, standard speaker cabinet competition. I agree with the person who has the 410 that it can be tough on the stair climbing (both of us have some back issues), but it's still lighter than most 410's, let alone the 610 and 810's that are of lesser or equal volume. So is the 310212 and the 21012 for that matter.

Last night I got to test out my new Demeter HBP-1 tube pre with my 1212....holy hell, it was so fat sounding. I've been using my Ampeg SVT-4 and the SVT preamp vs the Demeter is noticabley different. The SVT is a bit more edgy, and great for that growling Ampeg tone. The Demeter is punchy, tight and articulate....great for slapping, tapping, etc. It was amazing through the 1212, so freakin' punchy all the way down to low B.

To be honest I've been missing the punch of 10's but this new preamp has changed that, punchy...tight low end... articulate....and tons of headroom, what else does a bass player need?

As a another point of reference, I used to own an SWR Silverado Special (2x12) combo and the Schroeder 410 seems to be about 15-20lbs lighter. I can actually carry the Schroeder by myself because of the smaller footprint. I could NEVER carry the SWR by myself (not so much the weight but the awkward dimensions).

the better. I can only compare my 410 to a 210 Eden XLT, Although the 410 is larger, it's close to the same weight but can handle 1400 watts much cleaner, punchier, and LOUDER than the Eden.....as it should...costing several hundred more. Based on my experience though with my 1210 Schroeder, it too outperformed the 210xlt with tone, volume, weight, price, footprint, punchiness...etc. etc. I don't quite see the similarity in tone that some others have referenced, but that's strictly my opinion.

Keep those comments coming about practcial, real world portability of Schroe's vs others. Then once we got a Neo choice, we should reevaluate. I gotta believe it's gonna get even better!!

Damn, I only ordered my 310212 2 days ago & I'm jonesing something fierce from reading all of this thread. I hope it gets here soon, but it's not due for another 2.5 weeks....sigh :rollno:
I can hardly wait to read your review which means I'll probably be waiting even longer! :rollno:

What are you gonna be driving it with? :)

I usually take the pre-amp output from my svt4-pro and feed it into a crown macrotech 2400, in bridge mono mode. I'm hoping I'll be able to hit my open B string and make people poo their pants from across the room. :D :hyper:
