Hey guys, I just can't help responding to the super-mega thread to say that I've got Light 1210/12+ in the works. I'll need some help convincing myself not to order a 21012 Light as well. No, really. I know I won't need it, but I'm probably going to get it anyway.


...what to sell...what...to...sell...hmm.

The component structure might be the same but with with the 2 21012's the 12's are all side firing, whereas in the 410 1212 combination you have 2 10's side firing and 1 12 side firing. I feel from my 1210 that there's more bottom projected on stage with the 12 front firing. It's a perception...I don't sit there are get it measured but the 1210 is definitely a little more bottomy sounding that the 410..it's also not nearly as loud...for me the 410 is more versatile in that I can get it sounding great in any room or outdoors where the 1210 I have is a little more challenging to adjust in a room that's rumbly. It's not that it's not loud enough...it is. The 410's versatility (and extra ooomph and volume) though come at an obvious price and weight disadvantage especially if you're looking at the ceramic magnet option. I feel it's worth it if you have a wide variety of acoustics to deal with AND there are larger venues you're working in too. If you never play anything bigger than a 200 person room as an example, you may not find the 410 to be as much an advantage and for several hundred less dollars and a load off your back, the 1210 or 1212 can prove to be a perfect one cabinet solution...or if you get PA support in the crappy sounding rooms, you may not want need the extra oooomph of the 410 or 21012.

Again, Jorg is obviously still the most experienced in helping all of us find the right combination. I like your idea of a 1212 and a 410 which gives you actually 3 options, the single 1212 the single 410 or both to match up with your gig that night. It splits the weight up a little better too. I've found having two different cabinets to be a major positive rather than just adding a duplicate or close to duplicate additional...but....others on the thread have sworn by having a 1210 and 1212 or a 1010 and 1212 etc. etc. rather than different size boxes. I would strongly suggest you hear out Jorg's opinion on this one and bring it back to the forum and let's discuss a little more specifics of your situation.

Brian - Did the Low End GTG happen yet? I'll have to try to get up there. That should be a good time for me to meet you all & see your shop. I've heard really good things. Also get me the GTG scoop so I can tell my customers down here. I'm sure a few will be interested. I'd like to check out those Schroeder lites too.

I haven't gotten a complaint from a single customer who has purchased one, and I certainly haven't had a single return.

Mine too, that means our cabs are ....... Brothers(?). They must be from the same batch, of course, mine's much cooler. :p Does that make us realted ? Like bass-in-laws or something ? :D

That would cause us to make the earth spin backwards and we'd all be thrown off into outer space. Hmmmmmmm, cool, let's do it.
