Just recieved my 21012 about a half hour ago, I hope everything works,the cab is not quite square ( I'm going to play with the feet a little) and the horn knob is a little bashed in and hard to turn. I will report more later, time to fire it up.

Nice choice. Will be my rig whenever I get around to adding another cabinet. I can't imagine how sweet it will sound together, though. My 1210 by itself is just amazing.
After experimenting some with different orientations with my 410, I decided that it sounds very much better in the standard orientation (angled baffle to the side). Jerry (or anyone else with a pair of medium cabs), have you ever tried the angled baffles towards the middle, whether both cabs are horizontal (side by side, but one upside-down) or vertically stacked (bottom cab w/angled baffle up & top cab with the angled baffle down)?
I was thinking this might create a cannon ball type of effect in the middle (or it might just suck bass -- I don't know).

I just got my 1210 today and I also noticed the knob is hard to turn, it has a stiff grinding feel to it. I figured Jorg made it this way so that it is strong enough to take an occasional bump without breaking and the "stiffness" so that it won't accidently get turned. Thats just a guess but someone let me know if I'm wrong.seansbrew said:

I love the mids, it has an almost hollow or woody sound that's hard to explain, and the tweeter is sweet, full, and not harsh at all (and seems to have something to do with that hollow/woody sound.) I can't wait to crank it up this weekend, I'm gonna have a blast! Here are some pics:

Trust me, I feel your pain. Fedex completely MUNGED up my 3101212. Jorg was nothing short of amazing in getting it all straightened out for me. Unfortunately the replacement driver was totally destroyed by USPS. I was really loathing shipping companies for awhile there... Several shipments later I'm a happy customer and have the upmost faith in the products and service. One of these days I need a 1210 to compliment my arsenal

Mmm, 1210 + bassman head. I bet that sounds great. I really like my bassman 400 combo with that same head in it. Really great tones out of that thing and it has sick lows for 350 watts...
So maybe my "stiff, grinding" knob is messed up? A friend pointed out I have a cracked corner piece too. Looks like I'll be contacting Jorg soon.seansbrew said:
My knob is a little stiff an dI suppose can be described as grinding, but I seriously doubt its damaged. I think they're supposed to have some resistance in them. I like mine that way.

My email conversation with Jorg really sealed the deal. I sent him an email at 4:02 yesterday afternoon. He replied to me at 4:17 (I had already left my office so I didn't get it until this morning). I say you go for the 3101212. I got it for situations an 8x10 would normally be called for. Its a hell of a lot easier to move than one and sounds better too.

After many gigs, indoors and out, I am still very happy with this cab. I'm still amazed that such a small cab can put out such big sound. Last night, just for grins, I hooked up my GK 700RB for rehersal. I've been using the Sansamp/PLX setup but the GK has a voice of it's own that I like, plus it's smaller/lighter.

Perhaps this question has been answered already, but I am up to reading page 28 of this thread and havent yet been fully satisfied with an answer for this question. Plus, it subscribes me to the thread!

Regarding the schroeder cabs I am trying to decide b/n the 1212 and the 1210. From what i have read this is what i gather when compared to each other:
1212 pros
-louder
-never a concern about not enough lows
1212 cons
-slightly heavier
-too much like a sub woofer sound?
-my main concern is that it wont cut in a loud two guitar rock band
1210 pros
-it will definitely cut
-slightly lighter
1210 cons
- too much mid for my taste?
-not as loud
While I like lows I dont want it to be overly low, but at the same time i dont want it to be middy either. I play in a classic rock band so it should be suitable for that application, but also i want it to be adaptable to all rock situations. In any event I could probably eq either to get the sound I am after, I would just rather not have to eq too much if i could just purchase the right cab in the first place.
