You can have the airhead combo's built with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc space.

Making a cab flight ready won't work on existing cabs because the grill must be inset for the front mount grill to set-in and lock. The metal corners can be added no problem.

So just so I'm clear on this, I can't get my current 1210 flight-ready, but anything I order in the future can, correct? If so, I may go ahead and get a 21012 sometime in the future to use for gigs and touring, and keep my 1210 at home and for smaller, acoustic shows... Sounds reasonable! :)

very similar an idea as Rockstar. I don't want to carry two cabinets around, regardless of whether they're "only" 47 pounds apiece. I'd rather do the gigs with one. I can not see any gig that I do, indoors or out, that would require my using both a 21012 AND a 1210 together. Also, this configuration is a 2 ohm load, my head only safely goes down to 4 ohms. I really don't want to buy a second head or a preamp, rack, another eq, power conditioner, AND poweramp + spend another $800 for a cabinet. I really don't think that it's necessary.

Also, assuming that Jorg figures out his stats consistently regarding frequency response and DB's from the cabinet, the 21012 has a bottom "useable" I guess one could say, frequency of 35 HZ at an undisclosed -db rating and a 104 SPL whereas the 1210 has a 40 Hz useable low frequency and a 103 SPL. This would mean to me that if I currently have more volume and plenty of headroom at any venue I'm playing now with just the 1210, that if we play a larger or outdoor venue the extra booty of the 21012 + the more efficient cabinet should be easily driven by 600 watts even if the cabinet's wattage capacity is 1050 or more vs the 750 of my current 1210.

The 21012 for larger gigs, outdoor gigs, and medium to large gigs where the acoustics are dead would be perfect for my group of bands and venues. The 1210 covers 90% now on it's own, but I've never turned down having a little extra muscle to flex when needed.

I am going with the 1210 and 21012 set up, I am very impressed with the 21012 and was able to drive it with 490 watts no problem. It was alot more efficient than my BXT 4x10 cab, I actually had headroom and the 21012 wasn't even working hard. I am going to order the 1210 for smaller gigs and to put on top of the 21012 incase I am provoked ;)

Actually.... put the 1210 UNDER the 21012... you'll get more low end that way, than with the 1210 on top of the 21012... (I tried this at the recommedation of Jorg... and of course.. He was correct!)

The 1210 & 21012 combo is killer!! and actually too much for just about any gig. It's kind of like owning a Ferrari and driving it 25 mph in a school zone. It's complete overkill, but knowing the power is there is fun!!!

i got my 1212 today after waiting almost a week because fedex screwed up and never once made a note of it when i had Jorg release the signature on it. i think everything that can be said has been said so ill leave it at that, but Jorg is one of the best people ive delt with as a bass consumer. he put up with my relentless emails screaming about fedex and he was as helpfull as humanly possible. i love this cabinet

im still tyring to figure out how he squeezed 2 12's in there  :hiding: ;)

One thing that is still a mystery regaurding the shcroeder cabs is knowing their limits. I have net even had to go there, dont get me wrong, I never abuse my equipment ( I come close if I have to) .I still don't know what this thing is capable of as far as volume coulpled with clarity.

I have my Mini-12 on top of my 1212. My Mini does not have a horn. This little system rocks like crazy!!!

O.K folks, I am one sale away from buying another Schroeder, question is, which one? I have the 21012 and am thinking of a 1212 or a 1210 ( this might sound sick, but I have also considered another 21012).

You should have enough low end with that 21012. I'd recommend the 1210 for a bit more variety, and as a stand-alone cab, feels it's better suited for all styles of music. Plus that way, you'll have the portability of the smallest dual-speaker design, a great stand-alone in the 21012, and if you just HAVE to kill your guitarists Mesa stack, use both.

Well... my experience says go with the 1210. I've got both the 21012 and the 1210, and can't imagine anything better!! You've got three great choices for any gig!!

Gigged out last night and took the 1210 Shroeder.
We started out at a low volume as to not scare the folks away.
Well, it wasn't the first time I used the cab and sure enough the low volume just didn't give the tone and punch I like.
On the 2nd set, we all turned up a little, for me it was from 12:00 to 1:00.
That was all she needed to really break out.
The Shroeder is definately a wild beast that cannot be held back for long.
I wondered if the other small/large cab models are the same way?

What head and bass were you using with the Schroeder 1210? I haven't found lower volume to be a problem. I'll tend to turn the preamp volume up and the master down a little to maintain the punchiness and add more lower mids and higher lows (like 125 hz for instance) + a tad more highs than normal and that seems to work or at least increase my comfort level on stage.

My band's done several dinner sets with me using the 1210 where the above tweaks seemed to work out. I wonder whether the mini 12 with tweeter might be an option and once you can turn up a little to use it along with a 1210 or just the 1210.

So far, only one gig I've played now outta 11 with the 1210 cab has turned out less than excellent and that gig placed me on stage way too far from the speaker cab itself. So to get the tone I like in that room which is huge, boomy, with no acoustics whatsoever, I really needed to be closer to the cab and have it turned down more on stage and then turn me up in the PA through my direct jack.

Everywhere, the other 10 gigs, where I didn't need PA support sounded super, excellent, superb, magnificent. Well you get the picture, but the combination of guitar, fingers, EQ, chords, cabinet in this case makes for great feeling on stage.
