ANYBODY IN UTAH HAVE ONE?

I'd love to try one too. I have played the Bergie HT112 and loved it and thought it handled low B wonderfully despite comments to the contrary here. But that 28 lb. Mini 12+ is appealing. Heck, the 1210 or 1212 for that matter as well at a reasonable 48 lbs.

Thanks.

Are there any BPers in Austin that use these cabs? I would love to hear one in person.

There are no Schroeder dealers in town, and the closest one is in north Dallas. I have no desire to drive 4 hours just to try one out.

We play in Austin sometimes, and I run mine with a Demeter pre and Mackie power amp, and it sounds just great.

PM me with your email or something and I can let you know next time we're playing in town and you can come check us out and see what you think.

i have some question's if no one minds. First, when ordering, can i order directly from Jorg, or do i have to buy from a representative? Second, i am building my first rig ( i already bought a Genz Benz GBE600) now i am 99.9% sure, but i just want to be positive. I will be running the gb600 at 4 ohms (425 watts), the 1210 is 850watts @ 4 ohms, will this function properly?

Thank you for answering these stupid questions

what is the deal with shipping costs? I've heard conflicting stories of dealers charging shipping even if you pick it up at the store?
I want to say I've emailed one of the dealers, not Jorg, a few months ago asking this and I'm almost positive they told me they didn't charge for shipping....but not 100% positive.

So, has anyone picked one up locally?

I'm not sure if you can order direct anymore, but contact Brian @ The Low End and I'm sure he can hook you up. Just check the website for dealers.

And yeah, your GBE will run great on that cab. You can just only run that one cab @ 4 ohms with your GBE, unless it goes down to 2 (which I don't know- but if so, you can add another 4 ohmer).

No direct sales from Jorg, he is the manufacture. In the past you could be direct, but over the past year that has changed other then situation where there might have been a demo or used cab. But Jorg does not sell direct, you need to find a dealer near you or a dealer you feel comfortable with.

The past year there has been some confusion which will all be fixed at Summer NAMM 2005 with the New price stucture. To explain in the past year there was set pricing plus shipping (ex. 1210 was 649 + 40 shipping or tax) was the design. So if you picked it up or had it shipped you should have payed no less then $689. It might have been $649 plus tax or some might have just done the $689 and if tax ran over eaten it or they might have charged $649 and the actual tax. Either way this has all been taken care of for Summer NAMM with a Flat sale price and tax and or shipping will be included. Jorg does drop ship to help save time and money for the end customer.... Most force the product through a dealer first and in the end the customer pays that extra shipping and Jorg tries to help by not forcing the customer into paying extra shipping.

Hope that helps answer any questions, Thanks.

Nice!
What power section are you runnin'?

Well....I have two setups right now...kinda.

I'm gonna run it with my 3500. With my 3500 with my bmax and with my bmax and some crappy crate 200w power amp.

I'm gonna have to try and force sleep soon. I'll get my chance to run it through my different setups and see which one sounds best. Gonna be selling my 3500 and 2x10XL soon for a QSC poweramp...that should be much nicer with my bmax.

I'm enjoying just looking at it right now....can't wait to give it a run

Initial thoughts.

I apparently have a major(IMO) issue with my main bass. I thought my old hartke was just farting out, but no I'm getting the same issue with the 1210. When I play my E and A strings I get varying degrees of distortion when I turn an EQ knob, and it only happens on the E and A. I've already contacted schecter....they'd better have a good answer

Ok, back to the 1210. This cab is significantly bigger than my 210XL, but in a good way. It has a much bigger sound than my other cab...which I'm not at all suprised about. It's really easy to carry around. I'll be giving a lil review from how it goes with my band later this evening.

I'm really pissed about my bass now though

Sucks dude, but believe me- I've been there.

I'd be waiting forEVER to get my first all-Mesa setup, and I had a 1x15 Powerhouse at the time, and got my M2000 in the mail (or FedEx, whatever) that day, hooked everything up, set right levels, even had my friggin' gf (at the time) there to see it I was so excited, and it worked for about 30 seconds and just stopped...

Opened the top, checked the tubes, all kinds of crap. THEN, I picked up my cheapo passive Peavey, plugged it in, and it roared! Go figure. Sucks when your instrument is lettin' ya down out of everything. :hmm:

Ok....I just sent Jorg a question about moving the rack bars in my 4 space rack and he responded in less than 2 minutes.....

That Man Is Not Human!

Are there any bass and amp manufacturers that care even half as much about their product as Jorg does? cause I'll buy their stuff to......I sure wish schecter had gotten back in under two minutes

Same thing happened to me right after I got my Schroeder 1210 a few weeks ago (from our own Big Joe, no less)... I set it all up and grabbed my main bass, a Peavey Cirrus 6, which had been sitting for maybe a week, and sounded flawless the last time I played it. As soon as I plugged it in, I noticed that every time I moved the bass even a hair, I got a terrible popping noise through the cab, like when someone has a loose jack connection and they start wiggling the cable. I quickly deduced that it wasn't an input jack or cable issue, so I opened up the control cavity, but couldn't see any possible sources of the problem. On a whim, I decided to change the batteries, but as I was removing one of them, the wire that connects the hot lead from the battery snapped. I had to bring it into work and resolder the connection before I could hear my main bass through my now-beloved Schroeder.

I have had my 1210 for about 6 weeks now. Until last night I had no chance to play it with the band. Drummer issues! I was happy with it when playing alone and after last night I am completely satisfied. Coupled with my WT550 and Sadowsky MS4 it was wonderful. You've heard all the great descriptions earlier so I won't repeat them here.

Now I just have to save up for a second 1210. After all my 550 does go down to 2 ohms.

Woo, hopefully Jorg will be sending off the 410 tomorow or the day after. Hopefully I can get it before we record (7 days from now). If not, i'll do it with the Mesa 1516.

Only thing that's on my G.A.S list now (For amps at least!) are a Navigator Pre, Bergantino NV215 and perhaps a Schroeder 1212 to go with the 410. Oh boy... I'm gonna need money (let's not get started on basses, Warwick Stg II's cost alot!)

So is there a dealer in the L.A. area? I'm in Vegas, but get to L.A. a lot, and it would seem silly if I were to audition some cabs with Jorg, not to be able to buy there and have to have it unnecessarily shipped from someone/somwhere else.

BTW, does anyone know of any other threads to hit 100 pages?
Because this one surely will.
