Searching for a Bass Delay pedal

Don't think there is a bass specific delay pedal. They work the same for both guitar and bass as a delay just copies the input.
I've have/used Boss DM3, DD3, DD6, and a RV3 with loss of bottom end.

Most digital delays are full range and work for any instrument, my preference is for ones that have user adjustable low cut since it can get pretty muddy down low with delay. Retaining all the lows isn't always great for delay.
There is no bass specific delay, but make sure you go Digital as analog delays muddy up when played in a band context. I had great luck with the Catalinbread Belle Epoch, but have used the Boss digitals with great success as well. Stay away from the Infanem Small Echo Array. It was the biggest mistake I ever made delay-wise.

- Line 6 Echo Park: Decent sound, lots of modes, annoying tap tempo implementation
- Flashback: really clean, many modes, annoying tap tempo implementation
- Diamond Memory Lane Jr: Great clean analog sound, excellent tap tempo
MXREHX Deluxe Memory Man 550 Tap Tempo: Gorgeous rich fat sound, wonderful tap tempo, beautiful modulation, maybe slightly dark for some people, and BIG.

I'm looking for a mini delay with a decent sound to make ambient noise, and a pristine bypass. Doesn't need features, but I'd like it to fill space sonically while not filling space on my board.

Did you mean an EH Deluxe Memory Man?
I've used a bunch that are great for different things. I have a dd3 on my board because it preserves my attack and it's simple to use. The line 6 m5 "digital delay with mod" is one of my favorites. The tape delay sounds on the tc flashback and digitech obscura are very nice. Just depend what you want. If you want a simple delay that's easy to use get the boss dd3, if you want the ability to do some crazy ambient type delays the tc and obscura are sick. If you want a pedal that can do more than delay the m5 is a great value.
Oops, yes I'll correct that. EH Deluxe Memory Man 550 Tap Tempo. Wonderful sounding box. If I were doing a solo ambient project, that would be the one, it just sounds really GOOD in that same indefinable way that a good tube amp does. If you could find the 1100, even better but they ran out of chips so it's hard to get.
TC Electronic Flashback/Alter Ego. Can't beat it. Tons of different delay sounds, Toneprint function, AND it's a looper. Incredible pedal.
I have a TC Electronics Flashback & it's great. It's stereo & you can loop the LEFT output into the RIGHT input for double trippy effects. It also has a great tap temp feature where you hold down the switch & tap your strings, rather than tap your foot. I particularly like the Lo FI & Tape delays.
there really is no specific bass delay.. delay is a universal type of effect.. there are MANY types out there. i personally use the mxr carbon copy in my effect chain,, dont get me wrong i like the digital delays and stuff.. but im a sucker for analog tone..
Digitech Hardwire DL8 is a really good pedal for the money. Built like a tank, won't break the bank. I've been rocking it for a bit and totally recommend it.
