Shep on Bass - Interviews about effects!

Thanks guys... I do my best to stick to the 'effects and how you use them' theme and not stray into typical interview styles. Being its my site I'm not restricted to word count or what the editor 'thinks' the readers want.
I make a point of listing all endorsements, with a link before the 1st question, then the interviewee's have done the required mention and don't need to find away to drop in product info in that might otherwise dilute the content.
It's worked well... So far.
Question - I've put this on the blog too...
I have been told on a few occasions that the site can be hard to read on a few screens and devices due to using white text on a darker background. I quite like the overall look, but it's important to me that you guys like it too!
The web platform I use has just released a new upgrade which comes with a ton of new features but before I decide to put in all the work in moving the site over I wonder if its worth moving a a 'cleaner' looking site, possibly something which is white with black text in order to make things easier to read.
Examples like Janek Gwizdala's & Juan Alderete's websites are good examples of the modern, clean, black on white look.
So the question is, do any of you find the site hard to read in it's current format and would find a layout like one of the examples above to be beneficial to you, or, do you like the look and layout of the site as it is?
I appreciate your feedback...

At times it can be hard to read. Depending on where the text is over the background. I think the site looks great, and wouldn't worry too much over it.

Thanks guys... Maybe worth making the opaque box that the posts/text are in a little darker and less, er, opaque?
The white letters blend in with the white backround at a few points but you could still read it. It's so little, you have to be very nit picky to even mention it. Either way, the recent interviews and board re-build have been great. Really love the site man. Always something to learn on there. Keep it coming.

Being a professional web designer I would agree that reverse type is harder to read. That being said, the templated sites like Juan's, etc. all tend to have a similar look and I miss the diversity that used to be the web before Apple convinced everyone that web 2.0 was the only design worth having. I personally like your site.
Thanks for all the feedback guys. Following the feedback from some guys on the UK basschat forums I have made a small compromise and reduced the opacity of the text boxes to darken them just a little bit more. Seems to make just enough difference to be worth while.

AMTP produce a real barrage of frenzied guitar and bass driven grooves mixed with intricate timings, complex song structures and glorious tones. The listening experience is something very special. By their own admission they sound something like "Elton John and sausages"!

I would love to see an interview like this with Brian Cook from Botch/These Arms Are Snakes/Russian Circles. His use of pedals in heavy rock music is very inspiring to lots of folks that post on these boards.
