No humor, really. I love that song so much and I remembered about Sheryl Crow's voice when reading this thread.

Here's what happened:
@Old P Bass Guy. You posted about Sheryl Crow being on the Thriller album. Right after your post, @CunniMingus posted about liking the song "If It Makes You Happy". Then @Skokiaan replied to Old P Bass Guy, about Sheryl's involvement with Michael Jackson (only live - during the Bad tour, where they would often duet on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", according to Wikipedia); then, for some reason, 'Guy quoted 'Mingus's post instead of Skokiaan's, his reply being again about Sheryl Crow working with Jacko (but without explicit references except for the word "Thriller", which made the post that little more ambiguous); then 'Mingus was confused, thinking that 'Guy's reply had something to do with his own post above, regarding the Sheryl Crow song he mentioned liking; then 'Guy was confused back; then 'Mingus was even more confused.

You and James Jamerson. I once heard Ron Carter say that playing with just one finger yields more solid time.
I do the same thing with slow to medium tempos. It just sounds better, it's undeniable.
