Hello everyone

I finally completed my rig/rehearsal transportable pedalboard. Completely silent. I also use it at home because of the phones out of the Ultra.View attachment 5253066View attachment 5253067View attachment 5253068

Peddalboard, patchbay and power supply by DESS.
Homemade cables (Evidence Audio monorail / Sommer Goblin cables, MDPC-X sleeves and heat shrink, Squareplugs /Neutrik)

Sweet build! I’m working through this thread and haven’t seen if anyone asked about those cable management zip tie dealios.

What are they and where does one find them? I’m intrigued.

All I had do to, was give up and post, and then my next search found ‘em.

Looks great, how do you like em? Is it tricky to remove/cut the zip ties?

I’ve been using these clips, which are nice, but not quite as tidy.

I do love that you can open and close them for when you need to rearrange.

I use the openable clips too.

I picked up some heavy duty zip ties you can run bolts through to try mounting through the small holes on the Temple boards. But I haven’t got around to trying it yet. Out sight out of mind haha.

They're supposed to be marine (boat) grade, meaning they're supposed to have adhesive that is moisture resistant. Actually found those on a Vertex YouTube vid before he started selling his own.

Google it, the whole thing is well documented.

Anyway, if you're getting zip ties anchors the point is that Vertex rebranded ones are overpriced. Plenty of other options available. I will say from experience though, that some are far worse and less durable than others. See my link in last post.

Woah/wow. I guess I was out of the loop! I hadn’t bought or considered any Vertex pedals, but did appreciate Mason’s signal chain videos. (Now I feel a little dirty, and not in an overdrive or fuzz sort of way.)

Funny enough, I never gave their pedals a second look, and I guess I’m adjacent enough, that it was more of a “Who tf is Vertex?” experience.

Shady af, & pretty good at (edited: slick, compelling marketing via YouTube etc) is a dangerous combo, indeed.

And now I’ve read a good portion of the Robben Ford storyline. Ugh. What a f’n mess. (I’m a huge Robben fan, but it is pretty complicated to see these challenging discrepancies.)
