Show off your bass room

Good morning all,

What an AMAZING TB thread with tons of great room examples.

I live in a tiny. 3 story walk up, 700sq ft apartment in Brooklyn NY. Needless to say, I can't even fit a few cases in my apartment much less all my gear, so I recently leased some industrial space about 1 mile from my apartment building to house all my gear and turned the space into a recording / jam room. I started this project back in December of 2019 and it's pretty much almost done. Aside from the wood floors, it was a complete demo and reconstruct job. I've always wanted to do something like this.

The walls and ceiling were taken down to the studs and then soundproofed with multiple layers of soundboard and insulation behind the final sheetrock layer. I also had the drop ceiling removed and put in a soundproofed ceiling as well and recessed lighting. One of my favorite parts of the aesthetics of the room is the view of the bridge right in front of my recording desk ... and at night it lights up and changes colors ... It's the small things.I'll save you all from the before and after shots

There are still about 20 basses not shown that have to be brought over and I have a bunch of gear set up in my band's rehearsal space around the corner ... I'll add a pic of that here too at the bottom.

The pics below only show the left side of the room, the guitar side, I will post the cabinets, heads and effects side when the room is completed.

I am no longer able to go deep enough in my room to get to any cases, to move them to a different location. I put a few basses in cases, and I can no longer get to them to play them. Help!

I think a mezzanine level would help you out, at least with bass case storage?

Guitars and keyboards aren't things I play, so I'd have no problem dumping them to make room for more bass stuff.

I've posted this elsewhere, but why not? Hard to get the whole thing in one shot though -

So I took over the smallest bedroom when we purchased our new house and turned it into this. The lefty is my little brother's guitar , we lost him about 9 years ago now and I became the keeper of his instruments. There's another one hanging on the other side of the window -

The flyer is one of his show flyers. I also hung up a bunch of show flyers on the other wall too (several of them are my little brother's shows) and there's a shelf around the top that holds all my old cassettes and CDs, can kind of see them here -

Anyways, it's not huge or anything, but it's "my space".

Guitars and keyboards aren't things I play, so I'd have no problem dumping them to make room for more bass stuff.

I think that's one of my problems. I play too many instruments.
