Love the white pickup covers and knobs. That's gorgeous.

That is righteous. Love it. How do you like the Delanos? I've considered them for my Sandberg TT-5, but the bass has string-to-string balance issues so I prefer raised poles for the middle strings.I bought a mint condition, shell pink, JB5 a few months ago. I’m surprised at how many times it has been my main “Gig” bass. It came with all the case candy and certificate. The 60s flavored pickups weren’t my thing, so I switched to an EMG J5 set, then I decided I wanted it to stay passive, with more booty, so I switched to a Delano JMVC5 set a couple of days ago.
Hard to believe they shut down. I guess it became too many versions to keep up with, especially with their limited advertising and store distribution.

Thank you!Love the white pickup covers and knobs. That's gorgeous.
I love them. They are like having a Passive Bass with an Active Output. Kinda like Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, but with way more detail and note clarity. I also have them in my two 78 Jazz Basses. The Gold one has a 9.5 Radius and the Natural one has a 7.25. The outer mags on the Delano’s are flush with the covers, where the middle mags are bumped up, ever so slightly. I tried to take a close up, so you can see how they are staggered. That is righteous. Awesome! Thanks so much for that closeup of the Delano. From web photos it looks like they have flush poles. And I love that paisley guard on the gold J. Would work nicely in my Grateful Dead cover band.I love them. They are like having a Passive Bass with an Active Output. Dang your JB-5 is hot! I like the stock pu's in the 2017 I just got recently...so far....but ya never know--you got me thinkin'. Mine has a series push/pull and I use that a ton. My favorite Jazz--4 or 5 string--I've ever owned.I bought a mint condition, shell pink, JB5 a few months ago. I’m surprised at how many times it has been my main “Gig” bass. Here my 2005 L2000 black with maple body trim. Sold it about 8 years ago and just managed to get it back a year ago. I think I should hold on to it this time!View attachment 7351168
