I've shown off one of these already, but I just finished the second 1x10 last night (still needs a handle which is on back order at Parts Express).

These are basically halves of a Goliath II Jr. The port is in the front...they sound good and are pretty small (17 by 12 by 16 inches (approx. 43 by 30 by 41 cm)).

Since each PAS 10 has its own tweeter, I need to keep them dialed down to avoid shattering glass:)

Ummm. I wouldn't have done that. The 212 and the 2 112's only stack up to my neck. And they're matched cabs. The corners all interlock together. I have no fear of it falling, but if I did, I wouldn't do it. How the heck did you have all that stuff linked up? Aren't those cab of different ohm ratings? How did it sound???

This is my I dont have to break my back anymore Rig.Ampeg PB250 (14lbs) Hartke transporter 2x10

Love that über stack! I wouldn't have put my expensive amp on top of three cabinets but it looks pretty cool!

At some Bass Day or another Billy Sheehan said that in small bars he used to stack two 8x10s vertically...talk about punishment to the ol' ears:bassist: :bassist: :bassist: The cabinets were right behind him and for some reason ;) he said that the sound guy had a hard time getting his vocals right in the mix...

Hey Mario, it was your fault. lol The 3 cabs are all 8 ohmers, so I put the 410 on one side, in separate mono mode, and the 115 and 210 on the other. A little mismatched I will admit, but the sound was good.

Now I use the 115 and the 410 for a 4 ohm load and run the amp in the bridged mono mode, It's got alot more headroom that way. I'm happy now! The 210 has moved into my home practice rig.

I had to have help getting the amp up there. I didn't measure, but I'd say it stacked to 7ft.6in. easily. The little stool on the right is how I was able to hook up the cables. I won't be running like that anymore, but it was funny to see the look on my bandmate's faces at soundcheck.

and heres my smaller carvin rig. Carvin R1000 (same as above) bi-amped into a Carvin RL115 for lows and low mids, and a car subwoofer i found for the high mids and highs. Sub is an MTX 500 watt 12" speaker.

all together it sounds nice and louder than i need at home, but havent tried it for a gig yet.

It should be here on tuesday... I'll most likely put a separate thread up here. Ya know it took me quite a while to save up for this rig myself, so dont worry, youll most likely get some other avatar or something, personally i had my eyes on the 2x10, but figured I need a bigger speaker for a low b and upright. I've been emailing dave since December man intending to buy the 210 in feb or march, but rather I got myself the hartke 3500 in march used for $314 shipped, and now the CB115 for $214 shipped. So in total it came out to $528, $2 less than my hartke 212 combo with ****ty paper cones and only 120 watts of power... That crapped out like a 2x8 would, just not as tight. I shouldve done this to begin with and it wouldve been expandable, but avatar cabs are updated anually and such, so maybe it wouldnt be as good of a deal. Honestly for $528 it'd be the price opf a combo and 2-5x better than some. I'd be pushing 240 into it, and Im thinking of adding the CB112 in the future. Anyways, Ill let you know how it sounds. Im looking forward to tuesday and Id be pissed it it doesnt come when they say it will... It took me over half a year to save up for something the same price as my combo, and hope it comes out better. I have no doubt at all. Either way, this system will be expandable if its not enough, but like i said, Ill be happy...

Yeah dude...I am talking to a fellow TB'er about getting a head right now...and I got my eye on the 2x10...I play 4 string,and I like a punchy sound...and I think when I have the money,later...I can add a 115...thats my dream rig:)

I think you can get by better with a 4x10... Punchy, enough low end for a four string... save up more and you wont have to worry about adding a second cab... However the 210 + 115 would have excellent punch and lows and it would kickass. Look into a GK400RBIII head, I love em'... sweet clean tone... The 3500 aint bad either, it gets you heard, and that's practically all Im looking for right now, plus its got decent tone for now... Maybe one of those Sansamp things in front of it, but I doubt Id 'need' it... It'd be cool though.
