Big Rig: Ampeg SVT into Eden 410-XLT.

Small rig: Mesa Walkabout into Aguilar GS-210.

Biggest rig : Ampeg into both cabs.

Looking to get a Thunderfunk and a Schroeder 1210 and 1212 someday...
But my basses are more than covered for now. :)

I really should have gotten around to posting this earlier.

It's a bit tricky getting the mix right, between clean and dirty, but it's hella fun, and sounds like the devil coming home. That Stingray with this rig is a beast. (And will be more beastly if I could get that damn SVP-Pro moved).

Is that an Ampeg guitar cab? What is the thing running between the SVP-pro and the Peavey head?

Indeed it is. Ampeg V412.

The thing running between them is a Morley ABY pedal. It splits the signal two ways. I plug my instrument cable into, and it splits the signal, so I don't have to have a stereo bass or anything. I could just run the preamp out from the the SVP-Pro, but I don't like having the Ampeg's signal in before the Peavey, it doesn't sound nearly as good as just plugging into the Peavey. Why put a preamp before a preamp, you know?

Brendan,

If you can, try to locate a Randall 4x12 Jaguar loaded cab. They're discontinued but heavy as all hell. They KILL the Ampeg cabs, I've had both...

~S~

No doubt. The Ampeg was merely in my meager budget, and came up at the right time. I have no illusions that it's a great cab or anything.

I'll keep an eye out for a Jaguar.

Hehehe Here is my current setup.

Amp: Gallien Krueger RB400 III
Cabinet: Hartke 210XL
Basses: Fender American Jazz Bass (2005)
Spector NS2004 (Just sold)

It does the job quiet well, I quiet like the GK head- At first I was concerned it didn't have enough power for bigger "situations", but it has prooved me wrong. The Hartke cabinet has caused some problems with one of the speakers crapping out after 3 months use :crying:

On the list of things to do- I will be replacing the Hartke speakers with Eminence Delta 10's, porting the cab, and change the rear plate also so it has Speakon & 1/4 jack input/ext- Bassicly I am using only the chassis. I will also be building a 1x12" cab to fit under it to offer some more lowend.

Ashdown RPM1 Preamp & a Crown Power Amp are to follow but thats a long way off yet :)
Sounds more like it has proved you right.:smug:
