I love these! To bad they had to be so darn expensive, otherwise for sure I'd have one.

How would you describe the sound?

hey dude, the sound is similar to the EMG series, but a little more rounded out not as harsh and heaps more bass too...seems alot more powerful than the EMG's too. i only use the bridge and i am finding that i am running the pre amp flat because it seems to be the sweet spot with maybe a hint more bass boost.....the EMG's i always ran at full ball for the lot...(when i say EMG's i have a LTD-305 for the last two years similar set up though passive pu with active pre...)

they are very expensive but i have played like 30-40 basses for that similar price and this one defs suited me the best..that is how good it is...

Thanks mate!
I need to try it out, I'll keep an eye open and hope to find one someday.

Enjoy yours furtheron!

Here are my recently defretted Squire Deluxe 5 and Affinity 5.

The Deluxe 5 with its ebonal finish on the neck is really nice and hard, the tech said I dont have to worry about putting on flats if I dont want to, because it is not going to chew up that fret board. Yes I am pleased with both.
