This thing gets pretty loud...

this thing takes the prize.

Wow! I was leafing through some old BP mags the other day, and wondered if anyone had one of those ADA MB-1's! Those ad's were all over the place back in the day, but I've never really heard anything about them. How does it work for you?
It works very well in general. Its EXTREMELY versitile & can be instantly & completely adjusted on the fly via midi controller, although it took a little while (at least for me) to dial in a good sound, but once you got it, its great! The dual preamp tubes add a decent amount of warmth too. It has built in compression, chorus & overdrive, solid state and tube preamp sections, semi parametric eq among many other great & useable features... nice little unit that can be had used on evil-bay for not too many clams. :D

I'm surprised I haven't seen more on these boards. Considering Wooten, Claypool and Bailey all endorsed them, I figured I'd have seen a few by now!

Great to hear, if I'm ever in the market again, I'll have to check one out.

My Digitech BNX3 can emulate anything ever made. I like to program it to sound like things that have never been made... really big, expensive things.

Ah so it was the ampeg , wasnt quite sure since it looked a litte homemade :D

Not every day you see thoose , when where they built ?

The Ampeg V-9 cabinet is a product of the mid to late '70s IIRC. Three 10s in each of three chambers (each with two ports). Designed to mate with the V-9 head, a 300 watt all tube GUITAR head with Distortion and Reverb!!!

Math problem of the day...Fact: like a 4 driver cabinet, a 9 driver cabinet's overall impedance can be equal to that of a single driver.

Your assignment: Tell us how it would be wired?
