I understand that, but I can't imagine too many folks getting the ax based on swearing or innuendo; most people here are familiar enough with those rules. I have a hunch that most bannees toe the line too often or are offensive in some way towards another.

I haven't done any deep analysis of moderator banning trends, but that's been my casual observation. A lot of people who have been banned usually get banned for relatively benign things, but it's usually the straw that broke the camel's back when you look at their posting history.

I think we've all missed the point. Along with the knowledge of Two Fingers' espoused allegiance to the "1%er" community, it should have been obvious all along: Two Fingers is Jacks Teller from Sons of Anarchy.

That reminds me of a time we were talking about motorcycle clubs on here, and naturally, people talked about 1%ers (e.g., Hells Angels, Pagans, etc.). TwoFingers got all mad thinking we were talking about the financial elites. Then about ten posters had to come on and tell him that we were talking about outlaw motorcycle clubs. I don't think he ever responded.

IIRC, I told Two a couple of times whenever he'd remind us every other day that he was middle-aged and in college that he should take a soc or anthropology course for one of his electives. *lol*

That's hilarious. Both parts. :D

You haven't noticed this before?
I can not begin to count the members that have a right leaning view that have been piled up on by the left leaning "intellectuals" that try and shout them down.
They all have ether left the site, quit posting in OT or have been banned because they went off the deep end after being ganged up on.

Myself, I learned to just stay out of OT threads. There are plenty of other forums here to hang out in where morals, beliefs and political points of view have nothing to do with the subject at hand.

Well I'm still here. I'm not quitting till the pry TB out of my cold dead finge..........Wait, I just got a PM. I'll be right back.

Huh huh, innuendo. In you endo!

Funny- that's the same thing I was thinking when I typed it. Every time I see it, in fact. Was that a PeeWee Herman thing?

How many, exactly?

Deux. :p

I liked TF. I've always felt he makes cohesive points and writes well. I hope he returns.

Even though I only agreed with about .3% of what he wrote, I'd hate to see him rage quit and hopes his quitting was the TB version of slitting his wrists with a butter knife. Heck, even the guys cracking all the "which fingers" jokes want him to stick around. :p

Y'all can blame me for this thread, actually. Yesterday at around 1pm (Eastern), I was thinking, you know, I haven't seen a good "rage quit" thread in a while, and then, I felt a disturbance in the Force, an equalizing, if you will.

Um, oops?

Is there a wall in the Modatorium where all the avatars of the fallen are mounted tastefully on plaques to be used as hat racks and conversation starters?

I can't believe I'm coming in so late to this thread........ I quit.

Maybe we could mount them and have them spring out and sing "Cry Me a River." Kind of like that mounted fish that springs out and sings "Take Me to the River."

Funny that. I would say the mod team gets complaints about political stuff about 50:50 from both sides. Some folks with right leaning views think there's a bias amongst the membership here to the left, and vice versa. Both sides think they're the persecuted minority. Both are equally daft, in my opinion.

The real persecuted minority is the persecuted minority. If you know what I mean.

Two Fingers

FWIW I hope you come back - maybe a break is all you need(?)
I know I needed one on several occasions after being heavily outnumbered on several topics - you know what I mean.

I do agree with many of your viewpoints, and so do others here. I sincerely hope you reconsider.
I know several TB members that have left permanently that I wish wouldn't have.
