I was recently at his ranch in Crawford Colorado (just passing through with my Wife) and I hoped to see him. Unfortunately, no. Beautiful place though. Joe Cocker was one of the bigger influences in my life. I'll never forget seeing the movie "Woodstock" - My friends and I set out to attend the event in '69 but the damned VW blew up in PA.....

I saw the movie and fell in love with the guy. Absolutely blew my mind. I was a fan from then on. Tremendous talent. RIP Brother...

He was my favorite singer. He took other's songs and made them his own.

One of the greats! He always had great bands and bassists, he used the band Stuff before they were even named. Had the Grease band with the great Allan Spenner on bass and one of my favorite albums of his was Sheffield Steel with Sly & Robbie.

I think I've listened to every version of "When The Night Comes" that I could find. I'd put him up there with Paul Carrack & Paul Rogers as one of the truly great voices in music. RIP, Mr. Cocker.

I think this one is my favorite Joe Cocker song. It's Joe's version of "Bye Bye Blackbird". This one just slays me. About half-way through, Jimmy Page throws in a sizzling, yet tasty guitar solo...
