How does it compare to others you've had?
It's a very mild Islay whisky to my taste. Nice warming properties.

This is my fav tipple or Dram and being a Scot i have to try as many of the famous "water of life" brands as possible. Its the Law of Scotland. I now have a collection of about 40 different Single Malts ranging from Isle of Jura thru to Macallan, Oban Reserve and the smallest distillery in Scotland Edradour. Nice to be a part of this forum.

ditto that! i may even look today.Thank you for posting! I definitely value your input and opinion, and I am going to try and find a bottle of this for myself!![]()
Having just double checked Edradour was recognised as the smallest traditional distillery for many years but i believe it now falls to Strathearn distillery in Perthshire altho it states on its website that it "probably" is the smallest. Balblair is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and altho small in size it doesn't appear to be the smallest.I thought that the Balblair Distillery in Edderton (near Tain) was the smallest Distillery.
Diurachs Own was originally a run of whisky solely for the islanders of Jura but was so popular it was then sold anywhere. Can sometimes be hard to find thru the year but i nearly always see it in Scotland supermarkets around Xmas period. This is my fav tipple or Dram and being a Scot i have to try as many of the famous "water of life" brands as possible. Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Note to self: Must be more careful with cask strength.View attachment 2922552
Verging on brain damage with that oneI keep meaning to post in this thread, and you've given me the perfect reason. The cask 10 is my absolute fave and go-to, and yes, one must exercise care!
Did you order on line. Hopefully you won't be disappointed. Whisky is a very personal choice but let me know what you think of it.Found some Diurach's Own. On the way to me. Yum.
I lucked into a bottle a couple years ago which the clerk insisted was the same thing as the normal 10, so therefore, same price. Good day for me!Bought this a couple of weeks ago. Note to self: Must be more careful with cask strength.View attachment 2922552
Standard is 40% ABV whereas yours is Original Cask strength at 57% or thereabouts. That's pretty powerful stuff.I lucked into a bottle a couple years ago which the clerk insisted was the same thing as the normal 10, so therefore, same price. Good day for me!![]()
