Asked Sire about selling me a different color PG:
"Thank you for contacting Sireguitars and for your inquiry.
Unfortunately we do not sell parts or accessories separately at the moment for upgrade purposes. However over time some of the parts and accessories will be available for separate purchase in the future as soon as possible. Unfortunately this might take a little more time but we will do our best to make them available to our players asap.
The replacements are only sold for damaged parts that need the original replacement at the moment."
I don't know if any maker has the template to make a V5 pickguard as a stock item. But WD Music will do it as a custom job. Would probably be about $80-90.So who makes a clear PG for the V's?

I still may order a tort for my V5R after the White Pearl one arrives, hopefully in another week or so.

Yeah, I did the same thing with the V5 that's hanging on my wall in my profile picture. It definitely is purdyCool, but I wont spend that kind of money on a $500 Bass unless it improves how it sounds.
It looks pretty cool with no guard at all, so I might just leave it like that too.

Yup. yessir, that's still as sexy as @%$^!I asked Sire a few months ago about pickguard and they said no official third party vendor due to copyright stuff (protecting their stuff).
Personally, I find WD tort to be a little more like painted pearloid. I like the celluloid pickguards. I had pickguard planet make a custom pickguard for a p bass with a bisonic pickgup and it was great.

It cost money but it was really nice in the end. You would have to send in your guard to them.
Here is how that p bass turned out.

I am likely going to get a P5R and get a guard from these folks.
They had the best Red Tort pickguard but seem to be out of it all the time.WD makes great pickguards. (In my personal experience)
Specifically, talking tort here.
Everyone keeps talkin tort but noone wants my V5 4 string leftover tort PG.
Probably because it is a dark sorta purplish color tort that really only works with some of the finishes on Sires. Just a guess. Personally I would put it away in the event you ever wanted to sell it and they wanted the original.
Yeah, at my age I forget after couple weeks if that long.I don't think that far ahead.
I'll probably forget I have it in a few days.
I went with a cream pearl from aliexpress and I'm pretty happy with it, hopefully WD lives up to your expectations.I tried. We just didn't agree on the number of strings.
My white pearl is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how well it lives up to my expectations.
