Someone cracked the Animato

Yeah I am still here, cases, not so much. Getting extremely frustrated by it too.

So the story of it is, the cases got stuck in customs for 10 days (god knows why). As for why they've taken so long to get here after processing on the 30th of June (now 5th), I can't explain. For this reason, I normally choose express shipping but I can understand why the cases were delivered with a more standard mail service. Irrespective, they should have been here last Monday at the latest which was *technically* 10 business days but even that is stretching the reality. I am still sitting here twiddling my thumbs*

*Actually I've been working at my business

I'll send an email the instant the cases are here to explain the situation. I'm just going to get the pre orders assembled and shipped as they are done so they are on the way. I really don't want to curse myself anymore with waiting but *IF* they arrive tomorrow, all the pre orders should be done this week and I can start to get them back on sale.

The experience has been extremely shaky :( I put the tracking link for my own parcel here, not something I like to do but at this moment I just need to stress where the issue is.

I think unless you use EMS (Express Mail Shipping), basically anything can happen at any time, especially at your customs. Only with EMS are your customs forced to treat the parcels quickly.

But anyway, congrats! Your design looks really amazing. Looking forward to read about progress on the Bitmap ;)

Yes EMS, or find a shipper that will use a real brokerage firm (not the stupid overpriced brokerage that UPS/Fedex fakes). Up here, Purolator (a fedex/ups equivalent) will allow companies to use their own brokerage firm when doing cross border shipping. That way, you can prepay all the duties and the package gets pre-cleared. You might get a delay due to a spot check or something once in a while, but it is usually lightning quick.

Everyone that has sent me an email/contacted me should get an email in a few hours with order details.

Unfortunately, work has been so hectic that I'll have only 15 available right away. I can get more done during the week so I will limit it to 20 sales for the mean time.

A few people have them and all the responses so far have been fantastic, with some even using them live already! :D Really glad everyone is enjoying them.

I made the next Bitmap today, to say I had a lot of issues with it is an understatement and with the amount of jumper cables I have around, I would start to be terrified too. The blend circuit I had in it, which was as minimal as possible, was too minimal. :( I have had numerous issues trying to bring the volume levels back up and restore the tone. The tilt mod refused to work too. I may have cocked up the board or something else but turning the tilt knob did nothing.

A bit of a disaster. :P

Bump. Was playing around with my GE-7 Equalizer last night. Figured the best approach to fix the lack of bass... is to add bass.

Here's the result so far. Work in progress, could boost a little less IMO but it's a start. You realise just how much it adds right at the end of the video too. I apologise if the quality isn't good, I only spent a few minutes recording it.

And schematic of the bass booster.

Based on a quick search of big muff mA draws, I'd say 10 or less. Likely less.
i just measured my version with the blend control and it's approx 10ma with the status LED on.
Looks like you were right, Jloftin :D I thought it would be more than that since the circuit is more complex than a Big Muff. Apparently not, though. Thanks John!

I think I've had a conversion to the church of germaniums. They work so damn well. It may have just been the slightest difference it needs.

Got a demo up of the new pedal. Literally Pedulla RB5, into the animated, direct into an interface with a Gk 800 RB sim. Tone and Drive are around 1 o'clock but it could of done with a touch less drive and a touch more clean blend. Irrespective, happiest I've been with the builds, it's replacing my original prototype on my board.

Got a noise gate control on the board itself. It is disabled in this demo. The noise seems even quieter than before. :)
