source audio c4

5- that is Peak, Notch, Res on the Manta I think:
View attachment 3579171

I have a preset that uses that on the C4 - I used that filter type along with some Foldover distortion to make my Qtron Foldover (sitar peak) - Neuro Community by Source Audio

tried to get nico from SA to set it up for Spectrum but he accidentally published it under his name and left the -1oct on (it wasn’t supposed to be on). So if you have either one you can find it.

Take out the Foldover distortion (it was like having the knob all the way to the right on the manta’s drive) and give it a whirl.
Can you let Niko know? I am sure he will be happy to fix!!

Sure thing Rodger- I’ll shoot him an email.

Apropos, I finally got a soundcloud account set up tonight. I had a looping diddy on my new-to-me HX Stomp and used the USB connection to record on my iPhone. The USB audio interface of the Helix stuff is underrated but awesome. I used to have a TC Wiretap but the Bluetooth was SLOW.

It’s nuts how far GarageBand on iOS has come! 30 minutes later on the couch and I had added drums, clean and dirty guitar, eq, levels, and compression. Even threw an EDM beginning in there, totally tasteless noodling here.
Let’s see if the imbedding SoundCloud links works:

but- @kesslari the main noodle lead on the Major Bass Bagpipes is that Qtron Foldover Sitar patch along with some +1, +2, and some +3 octaves on my other new-to-me pedal the EHX PitchFork. Bought it on Reverb on Saturday and it came in the mail yesterday. Finally found something that can dethrone my whammy and save some space. I like it so far. It’s got advantages and disadvantages over the bass whammy but all in all I think it will fit what I’m doing. Just wish it had midi on it!

I'm finding more and more as I try to balance tones sonically against my clean tone the Low-Retain control is really important. I was finding that one sound was swamping my lows a bit too much and could then pull that back in line with this control, and there was another that I wasn't feeling like it had enough underneath and again bumped this up to get more deep support.

Kind of astounding that was created on iOS. Excellence on the part of the user!
Can this clip be associated with any Neuro presets? :)

Yep- it’s got the Qtron Foldover (Sitar) Neuro preset I published on the first 80% of the noodle.
Qtron Foldover: Neuro Community by Source Audio
Then the latter part is the Aftershock running my Demon King preset I uploaded a month or two ago. It’s the Oh See Dee with a hard shelf after 800hz.
Fuzzy Demon King: Neuro Community by Source Audio
Only other thing on there is the new Pitch Fork running, I just got that pedal Monday so I was stretching it’s legs!

Realized I put to much echo on it from GarageBand so I uploaded another version this morning:

Sooo,

I can’t seem to get the Desktop Neuro Editor to see my C4. I have tried multiple usb cables and both of my computers (Mac laptop and desktop on the Catalina OS).

I’ve rebooted the pedal several times. It also now doesn’t seem to take midi signals from my MC6 (through micro.ghost) although everything else is working fine.

I did also test the iPhone app, and that still functions. So it seems that the usb dock on the C4 itself isn’t working at all...

Any advice?

P.S. I initially tried to connect on the pre updated Neuro Desktop Editor, so I updated that to the current one. Neither connected.

P.P.S. I have now tried it on a PC. No success there either.

That sucks! What does the upper left corner of your Neuro application look like? Does it say "Connect a Source Audio device via USB to view and edit presets," or does it show a little C4 Synth control bar?

I'm still on Mojave, always scared to update for compatibility reasons.

SA peeps seem hella nice, I bet support can square you away quickly

Yeah, it is the blue box with:
“Connect a Source Audio device via USB to view and edit presets”

I’ll likely be calling them shortly.

Maybe a factory reset will get rid of what ever bug is stopping the connection:

“Disconnect power. While holding down the footswitch, reconnect power. The main LED and control LED will be lit for a few seconds. When the reset is complete both LEDs will turn off and you can release the footswitch.”

good luck!

Ok- not to derail the thread but man I spent 10 minutes jamming and 2 hours on my iPad and came up with this:

I used the Fwonkaholic’s Anonymous C4 preset that @nnavarro published. Mostly clean bass with my SpectraComp slap/boost comp and then used my Qtron Muff Fuzz II preset for the fuzz filter backdrop at the end. Of course I added some +2oct from the new PitchFork for a contrasting background melody. I did 3 tracks and then cut/pasted/edited them around.

C4 version of Qtron Muff Fuzz II: Neuro Community by Source Audio
Spectrum version of Qtron Muff Fuzz II: Neuro Community by Source Audio

Found a ‘Smart Drummer’ thing in GarageBand, damn thing blew me away sounds like I’m playing in an 80’s band again. Much better editing on my iPad versus doing the bagpipe one totally on my phone. Love this tech and the C4 is always on point! GarageBand will upload directly to my SoundCloud too, pretty cool. Figured out how to change the picture icon, got a pic of my C4 beta!

Nice man! I would not have guessed that was done with only a bass guitar tracks and a few effects without you saying so. That’s inspiring. Good job!

Nice jam! What audio interface are you using to get the sound into your iPad?
Thanks guys!

How easy it was is the best part! It’s just a usb cable from my pedalboard to a iOS camera connector lightning dongle. All the audio and amp modeling is from the HX Stomp -although GarageBand has bass amp modeling now also. I just set it for a clean DI one. I did use the compressors, eq, echo, and reverb from GarageBand.

I got an HX Stomp off of eBay a few weeks ago and took my M9 and SansAmp off the board. Found out it’s also a stereo usb audio interface and will monitor back audio from your phone DAW to your amp. So it’s super easy to record ideas and jams. I used to use a TC Wiretap for recording ideas but uploading wav files to my laptop was clunky (and the file sizes were huge .wav) and moving those files over Bluetooth to the TC app was very very slow and the app interface wasn’t that good.

I just keep the cable/dongle over by my practice area and hook it up if I find something I like. It’s so easy and GarageBand on iOS has improved leaps and bounds from where it was a few years ago the last time I used it. I’ve got Logic on my Mac but there is something to be said for sitting on the couch with AirPods to mix and not having a aluminum furnace on my lap.

If anyone tries it out on the phone/iPad here’s a pro tip- all the extra file/menu stuff is brought up by double tap or tap and hold on the track (loop, split, copy, delete, rename, etc). It’s not really clear at first.

Thanks guys!

I've been watching the HX Stomp for a bit but haven't really had a need or use. but the thought of using it for a quick-easy home interface...that interests me. I have an old 16 Channel interface rack with MOTU 8-Pro's but it's unwieldy and sits at our rehearsal space (and is Firewire. :/ ) But something like this for home use/recording would be great. Looking to upgrade my 'content' for social media presence.

Hey folks. I didn`t follow the entire thread, but I own this pedal and wanted to ask, if you`re looking forward to get a midi-controller for your C4. It semms like, the only option in G ist to get a tech 21 Midi Mouse. Also there ist this little thing comming:

[This invalid link has been removed]

It`s not avalible yet. Maybe one of you guys checked it out already?
