You guys are good peeps. Not in a yellow marshmallowy kinda way, though!

I have Aftershock, Manta & Nemesis connected to the hub now and I don’t think I have more TRRS cables. I even have the old silver Soundblox hub still kicking.

Hey guys? I got my C4 Synth and I thought first thing to do is a factory reset (it was used). So I fire up the Neuro application on my Mac, plug in with a USB cable...turn it on...nothing is listed in my connections window. I have turned it on and off, reseated the USB connections, restarted the app with it already plugged in...nothing I do will make Neuro see the pedal. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you updated the Neuro Desktop the newest version? That is vital.

Do you have an instrument plugged into the C4?

Holy crap....what happens when you hear one patch cable scratching???

Must take a day or two to trouble shoot???
That is what took so long to build was double testing all the cables. I did have one issue after the build with a cable that had loosened. But after two nights of live fire the rig is running flawlessly and giving me the access, control and sounds I had hoped for.

Cool, but don't forget. Everything breaks.
Dude, you are so harshing my mellow.

Ok, finally figured out how to actually save sounds to the pedal (great youtube video shows how), it's pretty fun! I browsed the community and right away found 2 or 3 sounds that would work for That One Song in my set. Then I found some other fun stuff. Hello, Human League! So cool.

a couple that I have been studying are Kesselari's Chamelon, Stylophonic's (?) Funk In and TheHook's Bold and Brassy

useful as is -Thanks @Kesselari - also be nice places to experiment as well. for me they have been quite instructive.

What's the learning curve like for plug-and-play Luddites like myself? Stay away?
It's not bad. I don't think it's likely that you'll want to only use the six stock sounds. But browsing for, listening to, and saving new sounds isn't too bad. The learning curve isn't bad. But there is one.

Got my DMC.micro set up with my C4 ready for a tour next week - super stoked on this tidy little board! The C4 has replaced many heavy pedals on a much bigger pedalboard, glad to be traveling lighter.

My only issue is that I ordered the micro a little too late, and the only DAD supplier in Canada didn't have the gHost adapter in stock. I ordered the Afunta brand mini B OTG adapter from Amazon, and it's a loose fit with the USB A, it loses its connection very easily. I'm about to use some tape to try to get it to secure a tight connection (unless anyone has any other ideas?) I'll order a gHost adapter for when I get home, which I hope is of higher quality.

This is my first tour with a digital device, and I gotta say I'm slightly concerned about how much more delicate the USB cables seem to be. I'll be really gentle, wish me luck! (And yes, I'm bringing backups)

How's that Fuel Tank treating you? Seems like a good fit of specs and nice price for the compact board I'm mulling. So does the polytune2 too, for that matter. And the C4 & DMC.mico setup.

Where'd you say you're stopping on this tour? ;)

I've had my C4 for a few months now. I'd been following it's development last year with keenness. I held off buying a Xerograph specifically for this pedal. Unfortunately it's launch was right in the middle of a lot of personal change for me so it's been hard to find time to integrate it into my rig...let alone program it. So I sold a house...moved into rented...moved location and started a new job...ooo and I got married too. Currently buying a house that's also taking some time up.

So...Over the weekend I got a rare spare afternoon and evening to sit with it and play. I've found that there's a lot about filters that I thought I knew, but it's quite clear that I don't understand and there's a huge curve going on for me. The midi side and programming things like patch changing using my Boss ES-5 and external Midi controlled expression pedals seems quite straight forwards. But the actual sound crafting is proving difficult for me. Or certainly more of a challenge than I expected it to be. I'm struggling with understanding how all the various bits of architecture flow together and in what order. I think my ignorance is driven by not really having such a controllable filter before. My last filter was an MXR BEF, which only has the one mode. On hind sight...I wished I'd tried a SA Manta or I.E Xerograph before I waded into this pedal at full speed. So I appeased my frustrations by delving through the community patches and finding 50 that I like. I'm savvy enough to have now tweaked most of them with additional personal settings. Things like input and output levels to suit my main bass, Midi Expression as an external Modulation (that's taken a while to work out as the best way to add a midi Wah). Things like mapping input vols to the control knobs so they are easier to use in a live setting are kind of easy and straight forwards to work out. But I think I'm a long way from thinking about a sound in my head and knowing how to achieve that sound with the interface. All of the various poles and low passes are a bit confusing for me at the moment and I'm still playing with interfaces' basics.

Has anyone written a rough guide to this pedal yet? I know there's the manual (which I've read many times already).

I was in the same boat, so I swapped my C4 out for the Spectrum. I had a Manta and loved it, but I love the Spectrum even more. But I, like you, have just found others presets and used the knobs to fine tune to my liking. There are far more C4 presets than Spectrum presets, so I wish there was a way to convert them, but I’m happy with the ones I have
Loaded so far.
