Nope. Absolutely a “mini” not a “micro”.

I’d suppose that cable would work, with the mini on both ends. Shorter than that would be better, and if you can find them, right-angled plugs even better.

Edit to add: I tried posting an image of the various USB plugs but I think TB is broken.

Does it output MIDI notes and control messages through the USB, to control an external synth? Will it work with a fretless - how does it handle long glissandi with different lenghts? Will it work with a piezo pickup only?

No, it is not a midi controller, it only accepts midi messages, it does not generate them.

Hi guys,
I'm a bit new in C4 and its way of configuring.
But I have one issue, I want you, help me with.
So, I have the midi footswitch amt fs2-midi. It can send CC or PC through its MIDI out. So I connecting AMT to C4 through Control port via standart 5pin-3.5jack cable(usually I use it for korg electribe 2),so nothing happens. Do I need to use the Neuro hub to send the CC commands through
C4 control? Or C4 has a CC MiDI implementation and can receive CC without any Neuro Hub, so I must find the issue with cable or footswitch?

I recommend digging in to the manual for basic setup guide: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

The control port only responds to MIDI commands via the Neuro Hub, so either you need a hub or you need a USB MIDI Host device that can transmit MIDI through the USB jack

Correct, when trying to use the Control Port for MIDI. Can you link to the FAQ reply you are referring to?

Again, you can control the C4 using MIDI without a Source Hub, but you will need a USB Host device of some sort that will allow you to control the MIDI via the USB port. Disaster Audio MIDI controllers have this functionality built in (I use mine without any additional hubs/devices in between), and they also make a small Host device that you can use to interface the C4 with other MIDI controllers that don’t have USB hosting capabilities: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Anyone having trouble with the latest update? Updated to 7.22 just before a rehearsal last night, loaded some patches, used them in rehearsal. When I disengaged the effect, my patches were gone and seem to have gone back to factory presets. Sure glad this wasn't a gig!

So, stupid question: What's the "best" OC-2 preset around? Wondering if I caught them all by just typing OC-2 in the search. Maybe there's other good ones hidden somewhere.

Searching for "OC2" and "OC-2" will give you different search results.

Help please. So I've got some presets in my library that are definitely too loud. I adjust the volume in neuro editor and click the edit tab and save in library. I refresh and then click on the altered preset,..volume is back to original too loud setting. What am I doing wrong here???? Thanks in advance.

EDIT, found a workaround. Saved the edited patch to the cloud, then loaded that to library. Old guys like me aren't the sharpest tacks,...but we do eventually figure it out.

While I’ve got my C4 connected via USB to my laptop, I adjust the Output. A little asterisk appears next to the name of the preset. I then click on the save icon. Seems to work that way for me.

But still, presets never seem to be at the right output when it comes to the gig. I took someone’s advice here and just assigned my “control 2” knob on the C4 to Output for every preset.

That way I can tweak the knob on the fly, and save by holding down the main foot switch on the C4.

Well hot damn, I finally got my C4 in today and after 5 minutes I can say this is the first synth pedal I've ever played that tracks fast enough to not be distracting. This thing pops! The stock sounds are solid, and I can't wait to dig into the editor and check out all of you guys presets! I might actually have found a synth pedal that I will keep on my board! Cheers to @rsmith601 and team!

Congratulations Zachary! Welcome to the club! I’m using mine with an Aftershock and there’s been a few times recently where I’ve thought that I could do with a pair of these C4’s or maybe a SIF. Especially if you want it to mimic an OC-2 (which it does very well) but pretty much uses its full resources. You can route and chain other effects using the stereo paths, but to be honest...just get another C4/SIF and enjoy 8 input channels with anything looped between them! I’m finding that the C4 really responds well to Modulation after to sweeten too. The stock sounds are great but really shimmer with some post mod and ambience. Expression over midi works great and any setting can be routed to foot. The step sequencer is a lot of fun too...and quite unexpected. Check out the “DaftPunkSeq” preset...it’ll make you smile. Map an expression pedal to the filter and....oh you’ll find out. I’ve found that the C4’s sounds are different to my H9’s & Hog 2 and I can’t see my C4 replacing my Aftershock so pop there goes any thoughts of having a small board....

Sadly my new C4 is useless to me at the moment as I cant get my midi raider to change patches via the neuro hub. Its installed in a rack so i cant even use 1 effect!

Both the midi raider and C4 are on the same midi channel (5) and the C4 is connected to the neuro hub.
I tried sending the CC command 102 with the correct value to engage and bypass it....and nothing, doesnt do anything.

Tried changing the midi channel to match the hubs midi channel (2) and it still didnt work.

I've got a rocktron all access here which I just bought as a backup which I can try but by my understanding it's just a midi raider in a different enclosure so i cant see how it would work, I think the problem is me
