Make sure you have the hub presets set to the correct channel for c4 as well, if not, the midi communication will stop at the hub and not reach the c4. Watch that the light on the hub and c4 are flashing when you send midi commands, this will tell if the pedals are even receiving the messages.

Thanks, how would I do this? I'm a bit confused! At the moment the hub light is flashing when I send midi commands but the c4 light is not

Looks like the Rocktron does do CC and PC, So that’s good. Seen some that don’t do CC messages. It also runs Midi channels 1-16 but you can set it to run 0-15 so watch out for that.
Needs to be set to display 1-16.

The C4 needs to be on a different channel than the Neuro hub if you are going to pass CC info via TRRS instead of using scenes from the hub itself. (At least I think so, it’s how I run mine even after the scene addition update). Otherwise the hub will ignore the midi data instead of passing it on. So I’ve got my HX Stomp on Ch1, Neuro Hub on Ch2, and C4 on Ch3.

I’ve been using a Soleman- but have had much better success using CC 104 (on) and CC105 (off) to turn presets on and off instead of 102. CC 102 is set up for just on/off for whatever is loaded (CC102 -0-64 bypass, 65-127 engage). I remember that not working as expected when I first set everything up.

I set up switches to send CC104+(preset number -1) to recall and turn on a specific preset. Next press then sends CC104+0 to turn it off. The minus 1 is to make up for the fact that C4’s physical presets use 001-128 and midi uses 000-127 to represent those slots.

anyway TL;DR- make sure C4 is on it’s own channel, make sure Rocktron is showing correct channel, and use CC104+(preset #-1) to engage.

Bonus: downsized my board to a Tres 3.1, Neuro hub is mounted underneath this time. This setup makes a ton of good noises:

I'm sure I'm not the only one to say that I'll definitely look forward to your demo of it! I'm a little surprised you just got one! ha ha I've been having a ton of fun programming both personal and cover band presets, so I'll be interested to see what you do with it, and I'll enjoy checking out any patches you post to the Neuro Community.

Here's a personal challenge to you sir, since you're an effects savant... The Take On Me bass sound! I've been working on a patch for quite a while now and I think it's close (as close as it's going to actually get to the original Yamaha DX7 Preset #15 anyway), but I'd be really interested to see what you come up with for it.

Not a silly question. Go to [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]. Download and install the Mac version to see if the iPad supports the full Mac version. Otherwise you can download the Neuro App at the Apple store.

Tried it and the desktop version doesn’t load up.
Am I right in thinking the app version is exactly the same as the desktop version, just looks different?

if so, then it should be the same should it not aside from sliders instead of dials?

The Neuro App on phone or iPad will only allow one way communication and is not as easy to use imo. For deep editing you will want a pc or laptop.

So, I don't think you want your controller on the same channel as the Hub on the same channel as the C4. I have my Hub on 5, the C4 on Channel 1 and my main controller set to 6 (though that doesn't really matter since I'm not sending anything from a pedal to the controller and picked 6 just to get it out of the way).

My experience is that you don't need to tell the Hub what channel you have your C4 on, but you do need to pick channel for the C4 to be on that none others are 'sharing'.

It sounds like you have not much more than your controller, the hub and the C4? Why not leave the controller on 5 (because whatev, that's easy). Set the C4 to Channel 1 and the Hub to 2?

Your hub is really acting as a midi pass-through or 'host' for the C4, so you don't need to send MIDI commands to it. Send CC messages on MIDI 1 to the C4 and see if that works for you.

Made a comment on your IG...but I'll do it here too. My favorite Future Impact patch (and the one I've used most in a band setting) was your Vangelis Blade Runner patch. Any chance of you massaging something close for us for the C4?
