source audio c4

Adjusting input/output on Community patches is 100% a requirement... We all have different gear of course. I've found that adjusting any patches when I save to my pedal works fine, and then I can use my comp to adjust for different basses before going to the comp. But it's all about what works best for us individually!

Anybody found a way to get the 4 pole low pass filter to fully open up? If I have a fuzz on or something really harmonically rich, it always shaves off the upper most frequencies. Even if the sensitivity of the envelope is cranked.

Similarly, anybody have a footsweepable filter setting (no envelope) that fully opens? Same problem for me where I can't get those upper frequencies fully back. It seems to always chop off the fizzle on top.

@rsmith601 any input on this?

Not possible as yet, I’m afraid as the C4 filters cap at something like 6kHz if I recall correctly. @rsmith601 may be able to give an exact figure. A few of us have asked if it might be possible to increase the filters’ upper limit, given the rich harmonic content of the oscillators.

That's what I was afraid of. I might not be kicking the 101 off my board. It is just too sweet sounding.

Question for the experts here. I seem to have a small glitch happening. Using the neuro app on my phone, I'm able to change patches 3-4 times, then, it gets stuck on a patch, can't switch to something else. For the first time today, I had it happen with the desktop application as well. If I turn off the C4 and boot it back up, back to normal. Anyone else experiencing this, and is there a better fix than unplugging the pedal? Thanks!

The C4 is completely sold out in Australia and it doesn't look line the distributor is doing much to get any more in any time soon so I bit the bullet and ordered from the UK. Hoping the international delivery doesn't get held up too much due to the pandemic.

Looks like I have a lot of reading to do while I wait :D

We actually have a new distributor and we expect that Source Audio is going to have a big boost in Australia.

So I'm on page 38 of this thread and 24 hours into the C4. I think I'm leaning towards this sort of set up for a new board:

C4> HX Effects

C4 Output 1> HX Effects Left
C4 Output 2> HX Effects Right

HX Loop 1: Eventide H9
HX Loop 2: EHX Iron Lung

Hub, SA Dual Expression, Ernie Ball Volume, and HotHand 3 as controllers.

I plan to run one channel as a High pass dirty effected signal and the other as a clean low pass sub. The H9 and Iron Lung would be used primarily in the former. The final signal would be merged and sent to just my amp, or have the sub go to a separate amp or PA depending on the gig. I know this might create some volume issues, but this is just a theoretical rig right now. I might just make duplicates of my presets, a 2 channel and 1 channel version.

Have any of you used this method or one like it? I don't see myself using the C4 after any effects in the HX so that's why I didn't place it in either of the loops.

I'm also torn now between letting my HX control all devices or buying one of those DA Micros to control the C4. I also want to add a 3rd expression pedal to dedicate to the C4 so each device gets its own expression pedal. Why is my "small" board with 3 devices growing to PT Pro size o_O?
