Source Audio Sorcerers Society (S.A.S.S) Part 3

Hey guys!
New Lunar Phaser owner.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue? User error I'm sure but when I burn a specific sound to my pedal from the Neuro App (the Envo-viber) the envelop function stops working. It will work right at first but if i touch anything on the pedal it's gone, including just toggling through the 3 position switch.
The other sound I burned to the right position on the toggle seems to work fine (a chorus effect).
Any ideas?
I'm sure I just need more time with it to get it all figured out but thought I'd ask here.

I did update the firm ware on the pedal before trying anything.

Thanks

Yes, this is tricky. The shape knob on the Lunar is a subset of the shape control in the app. The envelope portions do not exist. So, if you burn an envelope sound in GREEN mode then it will not stay. The shape knob will override the app. If you are in RED mode, then you can burn the envelope setting to a toggle switch. It will stay in envelope mode unless you touch the shape knob. If you do, then it will jump to an LFO, until you move the toggle switch to another position and then back. Make sense?

Ahh.. thank you! Makes sense.
So, if I burn it to the red/preset mode it will stay unless the shape knob is moved? Can you effect the sound with the other knobs still?

Trying to decipher that gave me a headache.

j/k :)

So I had a bizarre experience with my Nemesis today. I was having issues getting my tone to bypass correctly. Super low volume and almost no output. I was trying pedals to see if one of them had a bad cable, or I've had weird things happen where the switches are wonky lately. I clicked the Nemesis on and get IMMENSE amounts of volume so much so, I instantly clicked it back. Funny thing though, it didn't kill the volume spike and the bitcrusher effect I had on my presets was still engaged.

Now I'm wondering if it has something to do with the power supply I'm using. I am using for this pedal and a few other the MXR Iso, which is supposedly a good supply, but I'm starting to get concerned. Have you had any other bad experiences with folks and that supply or heard anything like this? It's very bizarre, and I'd rather be safe than sorry. I mean, I have that stupid thing power two Toneczar pedals as well. Soooo, yea I don't want anything to happen. Those are not easily replaceable. Just curious if you'd had any experience.

Im having issues with my HUB manager, i have hooked my HUB up to the computer for the first time and cant seem to make any sense of it. I had no issue updating firmware on my Aftershock but every time i try to update my HUB (which i am guessing is the problem) my computer cannot read the file. I am running windows 8.1 if this helps. The reason i think the update is the issue is because i cannot get the HUB editor to wok either.

Any help would be much appreciated. figured i would try here first as someone else must have had the same issue. If all else fails i will message source audio direct.

I think I know the answer, but in cascade/parallel modes, thinking primarily AS here, the knobs control both engines at the same time? Is there seperation of starting relative positions, or do they just sync into the same #value expressed by the knob positon?

I thought I read somewhere that the knobs control the first engine, but I can't find it in the manual so I may be thinking of something else.

After some experimentation, the knobs are definitely controlling both simultaneously. How it seems to work is that as soon as you adjust a knob, the value changes to the absolute knob position regardless of what it was prior to that.

I loaded 2 different engines in 'mono in, stereo process, mono out' mode. Drive knob on the pedal was set to 9:00 position. Using hub manager, I hit 'read from pedal' and then set the drive to 9:00 on engine 1 and to about 1:00 on engine 2, giving an audible difference between them. Then i swept the physical knob up a bit and then all the way down to minimum. At minimum, the signal was completely clean. If it used relative positions, engine 2 should've still had some drive to it.

Are you using the high powered outputs on the ISO? The Nemesis won't work so well on the other outputs.

So pretty happy with band practice tonight but still not sure... Might just be my rig but pretty much all the settings on the bass OFD require me to blend to get the lows of my b string back... Currently got ts900 with blend so have my clean sound with nice OD mids kind of harmonics... And the octave fuzz blended as the second option which was cool and quite a nice gritty "wall of sound".. But still not quite like my ibanez pd7 which unblended just slayed In the lows... Mmm am I using the eq wrong maybe? Should I be cutting more instead of boosting?

Try the Mix knob at different settings; you should get the blend there without any external blending.

I'm using a 9v part. I'd have to double check the MA. I have a Voodoo Labs powersupply under my board too. Maybe I'll just switch it on that one pedal and see if it makes a difference.

The ISO brick has two or three different kinds of 9v outputs. Most of them are only 100ma, this won't be good for the Nemesis, you need to make sure you are using one of the higher outputs. Which Voodoo Labs do you have? Once again depending on which supply you have, they tend to have a mixture of low powered out and high powered.

At the risk of being pedantic (though it's never stopped me before!), only 2/10 outlets on the ISO Brick are 100 mA. The other 8/10 are >=250 mA.

Hey @rsmith601 @nathannavarro @TheSleeve, I am wondering if we can revisit the idea of a Reflex editor. I realize how low of a priority it is BUT considering you were willing to release the One Series editors for Windows/Mac as unsupported beta versions I was wondering if the same could be done for the Reflex. As a beta tester I already have a version of this, perhaps you do or don't have something better by now. The main thing I would really like to have is a way to edit the user LFO, which is an advertised functionality that presently does not work. If I understand it correctly (which I may not) the beta software as it exists loads the tables that control the LFOs, so if we just knew the format that the tables were in, we could make our own and use that software to load them.

Thoughts?
