Try the Mix knob at different settings; you should get the blend there without any external blending.

Don't get me wrong happy with the blend... But the overdrives seem very voiced too high if that makes sense? I'd expect that with the distortions like the rat etc but The issue I have is that the b string has no lows where as compared to say another overdrive pedal like the pd7 just has almost no loss of the fundamental? Way more boom...

Hey @rsmith601 @nathannavarro @TheSleeve, I am wondering if we can revisit the idea of a Reflex editor. I realize how low of a priority it is BUT considering you were willing to release the One Series editors for Windows/Mac as unsupported beta versions I was wondering if the same could be done for the Reflex. As a beta tester I already have a version of this, perhaps you do or don't have something better by now. The main thing I would really like to have is a way to edit the user LFO, which is an advertised functionality that presently does not work. If I understand it correctly (which I may not) the beta software as it exists loads the tables that control the LFOs, so if we just knew the format that the tables were in, we could make our own and use that software to load them.

Thoughts?

The lack of User LFO is why I still haven't jumped on the Reflex yet. That was one of the most appealing features to me. I dream of making any pitch-shifter (M5/9/13, H9, Pitchfork, etc.) into an arpeggiator. Even if it's on the back burner, is there any hint of a time frame or possible beta release? If I knew that midi synced 8/16/32/(more?) step user LFO were on the way I would get the Reflex now. Other features I would dream of coming with it are different curves for each step

We are deeply working on the Mac and Windows editors for Soleman at the moment. The good news is that Jesse is learning how to more effectively use the awful cross platform development tools which are required for doing this task.
The other good news is the massive investment we have made in repositioning the product line from odd looking niche pedals with not quite enough fans to pay all of our bills to one that allows me to pay the team a decent living for years to come is showing signs that it just might work. When I am comfortable that our future is a bit more secure, then I can take the risk to spend money on a project which will have no return. The only reason I even share all of this and would consider the project at all is the good will established between SA and this community over many years. You all gave us a chance to make it in a very tough market. I will never forget this.

I appreciate your response, but if I could reiterate: I'm not even really looking for an investment or a full editor that does presets, etc., just a release of the existing beta editor and an explanation of how we can make our own user LFO table files. My feeling is this is either (a) something that could be whipped up in an afternoon or less (post the editor and write instructions on the LFO tables), or (b) it's a lot more involved than that and you would need to make the investment that you're describing regardless. I'm just curious which it is.

I for one have been extremely ecstatic of your guys' success lately. I knew years ago you were doing something right. It's cool to see you explode since the new pedals came out. I know from an outsiders perspective we can all sit and think what we want, and demand the world, but in reality, you guys making sales keeps the lights on, and it's good to see that happening.

With as cool as this year has been, it's almost even more exciting to think about what will be next now that as you said you have a good cushion going on..... I think even my wife is as excited as I am (probably not)

My current controller will send as many PC messages as I want on any channel, but it doesn't do CC messages and it doesn't have a full display (bank/patch numbers only). It's also much bigger. Waiting to see the production version of the Soleman to decide between that and an ES-5 or similar. Probably need a MIDI splitter to protect the hub, too. It never ends, does it?

Nope.

I even tried downsizing, and even that is never ending quest for the 'right' pieces.

Someone posted a while back over on TGP that they were able to create User LFO by using the Soundblox Pro BEF Sequence Editor. I have not made the time to try this myself but it may be worth your effort to check it out.

This is a good question. Doing Windows only is much easier, but will not be a popular choice. Mac is the harder of the 2, by far. Doing a bare bones tool that won't crash, works on a variety of operating system vintages and will not require support from us is still a significant body of work. The USB communication aspect further complicates matters. So, I know I am not being exact, but it is still a significant investment. If doesn't work well, it will hurt us.

The Soleman won't support power over MIDI, so you'll need a powered MIDI splitter like the MIDI Splitty or Kenton.

Maybe, but we have no experience in this area.

Unless the browser is accessing standard web services to connect to the units, a browser based solution would not be the best idea. The last thing you want is a web browser having access to hardware drivers on your computer.

If the SA devices were able to connect to wifi and ran their own web server (like routers, printers, or other web enabled appliances), then, yes it would be a viable solution. But, having a web app directly connect to hardware drivers would not be the best thing ever.

A Java application could cut down on cross platform development. Another option would be to code a set of low level APIs that would be called from a web server and then using the web interface to connect to the locally running web server that actually does the low level hardware calls.

Something like Web Browser > http > Tomcat running on localhost > API > hardware. That would be highly convoluted however and require users to first run the app server ad then access it via the browser.

I think that Source Audio's energy would be better spent on making a One Series Manta replacement.

not to interrupt the tech-speak, but I just ordered an aftershock and a gemini...pretty excited! I haven't ever owned a source audio product, but I have been looking into them for a while...I have generally stayed away from pedals, but I put together a peter steele pedalboard and then got a b7k...I guess I got bit by the bug...I've been interested in picking these up for a while and the SB2 pedals before them, and with the format change, I just kinda waited for a bit...it will probably be some midi stuff and a hub next!
