If the SA devices were able to connect to wifi and ran their own web server (like routers, printers, or other web enabled appliances), then, yes it would be a viable solution. But, having a web app directly connect to hardware drivers would not be the best thing ever.

A Java application could cut down on cross platform development. Another option would be to code a set of low level APIs that would be called from a web server and then using the web interface to connect to the locally running web server that actually does the low level hardware calls.

Something like Web Browser > http > Tomcat running on localhost > API > hardware. That would be highly convoluted however and require users to first run the app server ad then access it via the browser.

I think that Source Audio's energy would be better spent on making a One Series Manta replacement. :)

got my Gemini pedal today - aftershock will be here Tuesday...it plays really nice with my b7k, and out of the box has a ton more sounds than the boss super chorus I've been using...the three modes yield some super cool tones, so at the moment, I don't even have a need to go in and dive into all of the possibilities that know exist...what a great chorus pedal this is! been jamming to some type o negative and tool, it sounds great - love it! can't wait to hook up the aftershock and use my b7k more for tone shaping...super excited

totally digging this! loving the Gemini and aftershock...I don't have a pedalboard, I just kinda throw them up on top of my amp, I have a few more I'm not sure how I'm going to use yet, but these are really great...going to take these 4 to practice tonight to see how they fare in a band setting, which I'm sure will be great...from what I understand, some local folks are going to put a type o negative tribute show together for Halloween, so I will be working on getting a good peter steele tone, which was really my motivation for these two pedals to begin with...yes, some of my settings were pretty extreme in the
pic, but I was just messing around to see what was in there

ran the aftershock and Gemini last night at practice and it went great, I didn't use my compressor or even the darkglass...I pretty much ran the aftershock on the factory tube drive switch engaged with moderate settings blended with about 60% clean all night and it sounded great, loved it...used the chorus for the couple tool songs we play and on a couple of pearl jam songs...I don't play fretless, but with a little chorus, it sounded awesome...super satisfied with what I'm hearing, and they sound great at home and in a band setting...like I said, I haven't even touched any of the extended capabilities of these pedals, and I may not (even though I want the hub for s*&^%$ and grins) ever actually NEED to, but dang, these are nice! I need a pedalboard :-/

I intend to use it to replace a larger controller. I'll run 1 output to the hub and the other one chained to my Mobius and Nemesis. I'll have to use macros for most things, so I can send on 3 MIDI channels (hub, Mobius, Nemesis). Nemesis will still be attached to the hub and get scenes from there, but I can send CC messages from the Soleman to it. That'll let me make a macro to turn off everything. A blank scene on the hub (not including Nemesis), plus CC messages to the other 2 pedals telling them to disengage. That lets the delay trails stay active on the Nemesis. I may route the Dual EXP through it, but haven't decided yet. I'm away for a couple weeks, so I'll order the pedal and then mess around with it after I get home.

maybe im misunderstanding, but why would you put any hub controlled pedals in a loop? the whole point of any loop is to switch it on and off.... which surely can be dome by using the hub alone?

my point being, why waste a loop?

That is correct. The Soundblox name does not make sense now that the One Series exists.
