Over all these years Source Audio has developed many fantastic pedals, designed like modules of a synthesizer.
What perhaps is still missing, is an audio module for interfacing them with each other, like the patch bays we can see in real modular synthesizers.
Currently the objects that come closest to this function (with fully programmable order of inputs and outputs) are the good old Sound Sculpture Switchblade GL16 (and its little brother 8F), and the Boss ES8 and ES5.
Who knows if Roger and his staff have a module like this in their future plans....

Ha...no Roger I am really happy that I can access the wider controls on the Desktop, but the manual really needs an update. Innovation...NO don't stop! A lot of your devices are best of breed, which is why I have so many of them on my board. With the Lunar, I can get the best modulation sounds on my bass than any other modulator on the market. These are the best Chorus sounds on bass that I've ever had. For it's price point it's an astonishingly capable device. I think the manual upsets my OCD...that's all. It's easy to compare it to your newer devices like the Ultrawave or C4 and fell...what if...if only...but for $149...it's an absolute bargain.

In terms of innovation...what yas got cooking?

This is a brilliant idea. Then you could pull effects not jus in different orders but in and out of other effects we’d/return loops.

Are you suggesting that SA should make a multieffect ???
I'm not an expert on that subject, but there is no shortage of products in that segment.

If SA should make one that rivals the Fractal FM3, has very good MIDI support and at least 6 buttons + no fixed expression pedal, then count me in.

multi-effects would be another interesting option, even without the modeler section found in FM3 and similar machines.

With endless audio and control signal routing possibilities, and enough memory available for future code updates, this would make a fantastic machine !!

Saw Skillet last night. At the end of the show I caught a glimpse of the back of Korey Cooper's board and it looked like two big and one small One Series pedals? Probably Nemesis / Ventris and I'm not sure on the small one. Seemed silvery, although I can't imagine what she's using a C4 for. Maybe it was a True Spring?

Anybody ever had a Nemesis become unresponsive to MIDI? Started happening to me this week. Connected via the 5-PIN ports and a WIDI Jack. Responsive for a while, then stops. A power cycle fixes the issue (until it happens again). I can't nail down if it stops responding under particular conditions, or a certain amount of time, or if it's just random. Nothing else in my setup has changed that I think would have any possible effect on the MIDI chain at that point, so the fact that it just started happening is very odd.

I know she has a nemesis, was an early adopter, not sure what she’s added to her collection since.

Not easy to give a simple answer here. Short version for the parts that affect the Nemesis.

Several devices (Beat Buddy / Reflex / iPad) --> Blokas MIDI Hub --> a WIDI Master and WIDI Jack are my "cable" to the Nemesis

Again, the big issue is that it seems to be new even though nothing has really changed in my rig.

Have you tried using a MIDI cable instead of the wireless stuff.
There might be a cellphone in the vicinity that tries to connect to it.

Was working for weeks before this, and that's not how these devices work. They won't be randomly trying to pair with something that's not set up.

I get SA midi glitches when there's power issues. I had a lot of teething issues with my EQ2 and the Strymon PSU's. Plenty of juice on paper, however the Strymon PSU's ramp up the power to stop power spikes. This starves the pedal of it's initial boot juice and the EQ2 is particularly sensitive to this. I got weird and random midi issues until I settled it's morning juice. It often needed a 2nd power boot. If you plug in the OEM PSU to see if the error manifests. if not, then you know there's a wee power starvation somewhere. If this doesn't fix it, then the issue is elsewhere.

I’m using the AOU in the aftershock effect loop , that way I can use my midi controller to get my AOU On and OFF , doing the same with the COG effect octaver through the SPECTRUM effect loop , plus I have some presets that have the COG octaver in it ( because with all due respect , the COG octaver sound way better the the octaver on the spectrum)


And a thought came by … why not make a box that does just that … a clean effect loop that accepts midi so that Analog Pedals could be included in MIDI presets for program change commands …

I’m using the AOU in the aftershock effect loop , that way I can use my midi controller to get my AOU On and OFF , doing the same with the COG effect octaver through the SPECTRUM effect loop , plus I have some presets that have the COG octaver in it ( because with all due respect , the COG octaver sound way better the the octaver on the spectrum)

I think SA had a concept that was basically smart patch cables that was doing exactly that, announced around the time One Series was launched, just didn't see production.

You can do this with most of the one series pedals using the fx loop routing modes and set up the host pedal for 100% clean when active then save as a preset and you can recall via midi. This is why we never proceeded with a dedicated box as the one series could already do it.

A Spectrum patch can simply be opened on the C4. Not so the other way around, unfortunately. To port a C4 patch to Spectrum you will need to recreate the patch on the Spectrum editor.

Still wouldn't totally explain why I didn't have this problem previously, then again not much does. Also, IIRC, I power cycled only at the Nemesis and it still happened like 30 minutes later. So that would suggest it's not a PSU ramp-up issue.

Given the complexity of your setup, it’s to say what’s causing it. Might be best to eliminate everything from the nemesis and then slowly add back devices until it acts up again. Also would try a wired midi cable first before adding back wireless midi to see if it works fine.

I just thought it would have been nice to have a little box dedicated to just that … cause I’m happy using the aftershock with the AOU in the loop

But then I can’t use the 2 outputs in parallel…. LOL

i guess I need another source audio pedal… I did have my eyes on that ultra wave
