I have done a fast test and it works, the Chocolate Controller and the MIDI B can be used to send PC messages to the C4 and it receive it.

Dont want this to sound a negative whinge but I have zero confidence with the neuro app atm.

It just seems jinxed when I need it to cooperate in a band rehearsal. No way would I try and rely on it in a live gig.

Will the new developments of the Neuro software include the app?

Ive had support sessions to fix previous glitches, spent on various adapters, cables, bluetooth etc. Im now, slightly reluctantly, considering investing in midi. This will all add up to more than I paid for the C4 in the first place?! Just for navigation of presets.

The Neuro desktop is better but changing presets involves the tiny font on the rh preset list - too small & fiddly for easy access on the go. Plus I don't want to hook up a laptop all the time.

I dearly love the C4, the journey of discovering fresh sounds and the community. But weary of trying to make it practical to use on the fly.

In general, I would say that the Mobile and Desktop were conceived with the intention of creating, tweaking, sharing, and browsing presets. The toggle switch was intended to be the live preset switcher, unless MIDI is involved. Collider, Nemesis, Ventris and the EQ2 have expanded presets.
Your point is valid. Yes, this will be included in the scope of improvement.

As I said, the support, the community and the products are all outstanding. Just my little operational frustration.

Im looking into midi. Just still unclear of best system and wary of the efforts/costs of setting it all up. Good advice here in community.

In the meantime, with a new band coming together, I'm held back from the full potential.

Have you considered using a different app for switching presets? I use BandHelper. You can set up your setlist in it with midi PC messages for each song. Then when I switch to that song, the preset is changed. I've had no issues and much cheaper than all of the hardware you're looking at. Just need a usb cable and otg adapter for your phone/laptop.

Neuro app works at home, but the 3 or 4 times I've tried to use in a band rehearsal, it's glitched.

Thanks for sharing this info - are you doing this with a BandHelper basic account, and would this work as the USB host or do you still use a hub to connect the device the app is on to your pedal(s)?

Not sure if you saw my recent post, but just came across another pedal that has USB Host MIDI capabilities and should work directly connected to a C4 via USB cable and for cheaper than the DMC units. Looks solid and with similar functionality available as a DMC Micro Pro: MIDI Foot Controller - DOREMiDi
Also the M-vave Bluetooth MIDI package mentioned by a few other users the last few pages seems like the cheapest option I’ve heard of yet.

Yes, I pay the $12 /yr for a basic account. Well worth it, in my opinion. I like having lyrics and chord charts at my fingertips, the Midi control over usb works great, and since it's cloud based, I can easily edit things from my computer or any device, then have it available on all my devices (handy when I forget to bring my tablet to practice and still have everything on my phone).
I use a neuro hub so that I can connect all 4 of my SA pedals and use scenes. No reason it shouldn't work connected directly to the C4 or other pedals with a USB-MIDI connection though.

Picking up a new Gemini this week. Any one suggest and must try community presets? Will be going on myboard with a C4, Aftershock, EQ2 and Atlas. Any suggestion for a C4 preset (or for any of my other pedals) that really benefit from some chorus (or phaser, or flange)?

I'm sure it would get complicated, but would be great if in the future scene presets on the neuro could be shared with the community!

I recently completed a full SA board, including multiple pedals, the Soleman, Neuro Hub, and expression pedal. I am struggling to get the expression pedal working with my setup. Any chance someone may have a link to a helpful video or article explaining how to get the three of these working together? For whatever reason I am just not getting it based on the manuals. TIA

In a nutshell, the Soleman will need to be set up to send CC100 on each pedal’s channel. (Or you can set the Hub up to send CC100 when hooking an expression pedal up to its own expression port.)

Then expression will need to be explicitly programmed into the individual presets and enabled on your pedals.
