This is a great system, sounds amazing and I'm not personally aware of a better synth for Bass for the money or size. Community support is second to none. That DMC is what I'm doing with the C4.

I believe the gHOST adapter cable is easiest way to hook up to C4. Anyone know if available in UK anywhere?

I've been a collider owner for just over a week now and am absolutely loving it. It only took minutes to find and save very usable sounds to use in a cover band gig.
Today I saved a number of additional presets directly onto the collider and assigned the functions of "preset increment" and "preset decrement" to my soleman in panel mode. The scrolling works as expected, however it only goes through the 8 (extended mode) presets that are accessible from the pedal itself and then loops back to the beginning. Is there a way to scroll through more than those 8 presets as is possible on the C4 for example?

Need to use a midi controller and send preset recall messages to get all 128 on collider.

That’s a bit of a shame. Could the increment/decrement preset CC not be programmed to behave differently in firmware? It doesn’t necessarily have to be made to behave the same way as the hardware preset increment button on the pedal, does it? Be worth asking Jesse.

You don’t need to use the Disaster Ghost cable- I’ve used a bunch of different cables with the correct USB Mini Male ends via both Amazon and EBay that all worked fine. I only found one USB cable that didn’t seem to work as it was probably for power only. You can find some rare versions with the correct connections on one integrated cable or build one using two cables like the DMC Ghost cable is. I had the DMC cable and actually broke the connection on one end because of a tight pedalboard and those straight cables take up a ton of space sticking out from the pedals (and mini/micro USB connectors are not very robust). I replaced it with a cable with up-angle and down-angle ends so I could run the cable under my Pedaltrain pedalboard (you need one up and one down because the C4 and DMC USB ports are oriented upside down from each-other if you go this route).

I am in the US so probably not much use to you to try to link the specific ones I have used but you should be able to find a number of different options for much cheaper than the Ghost cable.

You can get similar adaptors that have some stretch of cable in between the male and female parts that will take up less space and there are also Mini USB cables (and adaptor) with right-angled ends as well as up-angled and down-angled that take up much less space on a pedalboard in my experience. I use Pedaltrain boards that have openings to run cables under the board so the down-angled and up-angled cables work perfect for me for tidy cabling under the board

I do agree. I guess it depends on the layout of your board. The point was using the current standard cable: USB-C to USB-C with an adapter to the archaic MiniUSB at both ends.

Was thinking about all the routing options with multiple SA pedals. Thinking of using the Ultra Wave channel 1 to go into the C4 and Lunar Phaser then into channel 2 of the Ultra Wave. Could put compression, distortion, or whatever before and/or after the C4 and Lunar Phaser. Anyone else try something like this?

Also, macro messages on the Soleman. Could I use these to control multiple pedals on different midi channels all at once? Haven’t really used them before but had some ideas about things I’d like to do if that’s the case.

What a powerful little set up! I used the trrs cable that came with the UltraWave since I couldn’t find a gHost cable in stock. And I’m only using it to scroll through presets right now anyway. Now I gotta find a small board for it.

The power amp sim in the CabZone is really touch sensitive and sounds fantastic! A really good match!

I totally forgot that you no longer need a USB cable for the C4 with newer DMC devices- he figured out how to make them work via one of the 1/4” outputs on the DMC into the TRRS 1/8” input of the C4. This wasn’t an option when I still had a DMC controller, so ai can’t recommend a cable, but pretty sure you just need a TRS 1/4” on one end and TRS 1/8” on the other end. You might email DMC to see if this new method has been added to older DMC (non-pro) Micros as well. I much prefer not using USB ports personally, I find them to not be very robust.

They make the instruction manuals for a reason I guess lol. At the bottom of each pedal programming window is the external control panel for assigning parameters to be controlled via pedal hot hand and so on.

We invest an insane amount of time and effort creating the user-guides/manuals. It seems kind of quaint and old school, but I don't like it myself when I can't read clearly what the creators had in mind....... Thank you for reading!

Is anyone experiencing an issue where the neuro editor on their Windows PC connected via USB to the pedals freezes up every few minutes. When this happens I will momentarily disconnect the USB and then reconnect it but I see a few people have USB hubs and like to keep all their pedals connected to the editor and I'm wondering how I can get that to work.

I'm running windows 11 and I'm going to put the "22H2" update on right now.
