My question was that if I wanted to save my current scene to a different one without overwriting the current scene or erasing the scene I'm on because I'm moving through other scenes. Press the search scene and go to a known empty preset slot, press again to disable search and then hold the scan button on hub to save. Or hold the recall last button on hub to enter copy mode and then search for an open scene on the hub and then hold the scan button to save.

Now that I have a board with a full SA ecosystem, trying to wrap my head around it is still confusing. I just watch a video where the guy is showing how to create presets on the soleman. He just blended and adjusted different pedals and named it to an empty slot made more since since that solves one issue I had because I was trying to figure all this out using the physical soleman but using a computer for settings with this system makes the process easier. Now the way I've been doing it is I pick a empty slot on the soleman, then save the scene on the hub. But he didn't use the hub. So it got me thinking I'd I'm using scenes in the hub or presets on the soleman correctly. The more vids I watch the more confused I get. Thoughts?

So I started turning knobs and came up to a wonderful sound with added compression, setting 4 on the Bass Multiwave, and a doubling delay. This completely screws up my board for any other song I'm going to play.

An Ultra Wave would allow me to save presets on the toggle. It's programming the thing I'm worried about. I tend to keep things simple and I'm likely to get flustered with all of the programming, especially when going from home to rehearsal to live. I'd very much appreciate your thoughts on those transitions and your struggles with the different EQ sections potentially working against each other.

There is a lot of potential under the hood in the Ultrawave pedals but for the effect modules you don't need to use simply switch them off. As far as learning the Neuro I found it is best to take each module one at a time. The different EQ sections, the 3 band in the Master section and the Equalizer section work quite well together, I use the EQ section only when I need that enhancement, otherwise it is off unless I need to use the hi and lo pass function to further sculpt a distortion sound. The compressor on the Ultrawave is stellar as it plays and looks like a comp in a DAW, which I really find easier to use with the graph.
Once you spend a bit of time the Ultrawave will become a tool you use more than you expect.

It can be confusing.
#1 Are you using the "dual midi cable " between the HUB and Soleman? If yes your preset names in the hub will show up in the Soleman.
#2 I believe all presets are saved on the Hub via the hub controls or Neuro app. All the Soleman does is switch patches stored on the HUB.
#3 If using Panel mode you must name individual switches with 3 character boxes. Also need to name the panels.

yes the soleman and hub are connected via midi. I see I need to start thinking differently when using these pedal instead of thinking individual pedals and presets, think collection of sounds via multiple pedals, fined tuned for different basses at instant recall....

They are connected via midi with two midi cables? Out of hub into Soleman, and second midi cable out of Soleman to the midi in on hub? This is where things became easier. Read read read. I know it's boring but all is explained in manuals.

Run a second from the out on hub to the in on the Soleman. Then as you scroll scenes the names you created when saved on the hub will show on the display of the Soleman. I also have a mini disaster area dual button switch plugged into the Soleman to cycle panels. That way I can utilize all 4 toggles on the Soleman for patch recall.

great advice, thank you! I'll have it investigate that disaster area more, that option sounds like the ticket. Ideally I'll like to be able to pull up presets per pedal the once I have something save it to a scene. Hopefully this will get me closer to that option

In panel mode for sure. There are other options. I go 1/4" TRS out of the DA to 3.5mm TRS into the Soleman. Then set up in the Soleman app what you want the dual input pedal to do.

Hello, so I've just got an Ultrawave and looking for some help...

I'm using it stereo in/out, but when I put it in bypass, rather than going in1>out1 and in2>out2 every time, I get whatever the routing option was when it was last engaged. So if it was mono in > stereo out for example, then I don't get ch.2 when I put it in bypass unless I re-engage it, choose stereo in/out then bypass it again.

I've tried this with either true or buffered bypass and it's the same, but if the pedal is bypassed when I switch bypass modes, then the second channel does kick in at that point. Actually that happens even if I don't switch modes, but even if I just click the current mode again in the drop down.

Is this expected behaviour?

I’d say that’s expected behaviour. All you’ve done is bypass the pedal. The preset (with all its parameter settings) is still loaded into the edit buffer.

If you want it to switch to a different stereo routing upon bypass, I’d suggest you create a new preset that is saved in the “bypassed” position and have that PC/CC be sent out when you disengage the pedal (presuming you’re using some kind of MIDI switcher to change presets).

Good suggestion, thanks.
I guess it wipes out any edits that might've happened if you re-engage the preset, but a fair workaround.

I believe routing is not a global setting, but per preset.
