MC6 Pro has one USB host port so can host one pedal natively.

To control both, a dongle will be necessary for the second pedal, or the Hub that could then access both (and store Scenes that include both pedals).

Thanks. So it's not possible to 'store' scenes without a hub? That is it's function?

Does the morningstar not enable dual simultaneous function of 2 SA series one pedals cabled in chain?

I haven’t gone wild so it’s possible that the more experience people hear no more, but the MorningStar can send an awful lot of messages all at once. I have mine MC6pro controlling several source audio pedals at once with one press they go through the hub just because that’s how they’re routed but the hub isn’t storing information.

the c4 and ultrawave have no native midi compliant connections outside of usb (which has its own requirements to work on a pedalboard). The hub stores pedal scenes. But the pedals can store individual pedal presets, you’d then need to do more extensive midi programming on your controller to handle all the switching/recalling. Hub just has the potential to get rid of all the intensive midi programming via a single PC message for scene recall.

Not from a single USB outlet, no.

Standard 5-pin will chain as normal from the MS (but that would require a Hub, Adapter or multiple Adapters to access the 5-pin port).

I’m still if the opinion that the Hub is a brilliant design when using multiple attached SA pedals. 1-button storage of settings across up to 5 pedals, recallable from a single PC message from the controller. The only area where it really lacks is the (current) inability to share/store whole Scenes via the cloud.
 
I've always felt like it's more logical to build the "scene" on the MIDI controller itself, as a preset consisting of a simple list of CC messages that tell all the pedals on my board which internal preset to switch to. Sort of like a star topology.

The SA Hub seems like an unnecessary "layer" to me when using it to store scenes. It makes the MIDI structure more like a tree topology. I guess I just use it to physically adapt the MIDI signal from 5-pin to their 1/8" jacks on the SA pedals. I considered buying several of the dongles and trying eliminating it completely at one point, but I was able to get it to fit under my board and be out of the way.

But this is a very subjective thing and there are pros and cons. And it's nice that it's flexible to meet everyone's needs.

I think it makes more sense if you think of the Hub + pedals as a single multi effects unit, instead of treating the Hub as a little MIDI controller.

The Hub has the ability to scan and save thousands of parameters because communication is bidirectional. MIDI is one way. It's intended to be a tool to make using our pedals easier for those who don't want to program MIDI controllers. @Derek Williams makes an interesting point. It's an alternative to a multi effect unit.

Q: How would you configure a #1 Channel with the C4 Synth tones and #2 Channel being a dry Bass "bypass output", thru type or splitter situation? Link?

I would like to try wiring the Micro Thumpinator/C4 #1 Channel/Compressor together and send to my C.A.B. M+. Then send a dry Bass signal from C4 #2 Channel to the DCX Bass and ReVolt Tube Bass Preamp.

(I would like to set the synth up on its own preamp/IR cab with the 1/4" TRS balanced output jack. And have the Bass guitar working together with the DCX Bass and the ReVolt (EFX loop), 8x10" onboard cabsim and the DI.)

Thanks for any directions on getting it happening...

Here’s a question I started to think of messing around with presents.

Does the ultrawave bass obviate the need for a shockwave? Can it produce all the sounds that the shockwave can?
Aftershock does specific models of distortion engines and is quick to dial in. Ultrawave can do many of those sounds but it takes more work to dial them in from the large number of options at your disposal. @GMC has spent a fair bit of time recreating his Aftershock patches on the Ultrawave so worth checking his shared presets.

This can certainly be done, but it requires a bit of understanding of how the 4 voices work on the C4.

EDIT: I just remembered that the panning directs things to the processors, not the output. Perhaps you must dedicate one processor to being clean and routing to output #2. Some others can comment on this.

You will always want to take perhaps VOICE 4 and hard pan this to output #2. This will be your dedicated dry signal on output 2. It should be set to mono input 1. Destination = direct output. No tremolo.

All of the other voices will need to be hard panned to output #1. Filter destinations must be output #1.
I would pick some preset you like and modify it as I noted. You must be sure that the preset is NOT using VOICE 4.

I think this will do the trick. Some of the other experts should correct anything I have said that is not right. I am rusty with the C4. :)
